Ram 1500 Revolution EV pickup concept includes 3rd row

Ram’s ancestral brand Dodge, pioneered the extended Club Cab and 4-door Crew Cabs for the modern pickup. These are Ideas were so popular that almost every Ram 1500 in our Benna CDJR inventory now has 4-doors. Ram is continuing that tradition by floating the idea of a third row of seats in their Ram 1500 Revolution EV pickup concept. Anticipating this production idea into actuality. Such a possibility is a direct result of the greater flexibility that comes with electric vehicles. Beginning with the fact that electric motors are a fraction of the size of equivalently-powered gas engines. Batteries can be flat, and positioned under the floor freeing the need to find space for a fuel tank. Add the elimination of a transmission and drive shaft, and you have significantly increased space to work with than a gas-powered vehicle with the same purpose. From the frame up, designers viewed the Revolution as a "clean sheet of paper," said Ryan Nagode, chief designer of Ram truck/commercial interior studios, who states that their goal was making the pickup truck more user-friendly and versatile. The 3rd row consists of jump seats, which can be folded out for use or retracted for extra cabin space. To make room, the Ram 1500 Revolution cab is four inches longer then the current Ram 1500 and is pushed forward into the smaller front section that no longer houses an engine. "We really wanted to make sure that cabin space was as optimized as it possibly could," Nagode told Automotive News. "When you move some of that stuff forward, we knew we wanted to maintain a decent-size bed. Those inches that you were gaining were going right into the cabin, and the idea was just to flex this space." Additional innovation includes a vertically-split tailgate hinged on each side, which when combined with an extendable bed floor with flip up panels at the end, significantly increases the length of the cargo bed. For even more cargo space, the “midgate” between the cabin and bed can retract the rear window and fold forward to be flat with the cargo bed. With this added combined enhancement of the extended bed, the 1500 Revolution can haul objects as long as 18 feet. Inside the cabin, both seats and the console can be repositioned by a rail attachment system in the floor the designers named “Ram Track”. This rail system actually extends to the “frunk”, which is the lockable cargo space where the engine normally would be. Of course the Ram 1500 Revolution innovations go beyond passenger and cargo configurations. There are extensive technology innovation additions as well,  such as portable touchscreens, biometric recognition, head up display (HUD) replacing the gauge cluster, and illuminating interior lighting, to name a few. Also envisioned as being equipped with Level 3+ autonomous driving capability. The Ram 1500 Revolution concept is just that; a concept, at this time. Some of these ideas will make their way into production, while others due to durability, long-term reliability, cost and other practical considerations, will remain as ideas to be worked on. But it does show the kind of thinking that goes into every Ram model Benna CDJR of Superior, Wisconsin current carry. We, at Benna CDJR, have some innovative thinking of our own as featured by our amazing 20 year/ 200,000 Limited Warranty on every new model. Red Ram 1500 Classic Warlock Edition

2023 Ram 1500 Classic Preview

The 2023 Ram 1500 Classic is an affordable, familiar truck - and that's what makes it a classic! Part of the previous generation of Ram 1500 trucks, the Classic gets the job done without compromise. This workhorse of a truck provides the capability and durability you expect from a Ram without all the bells and whistles that come with newer vehicles. But what it lacks in technology, it more than makes up for in performance. As the most affordable new pickup on the market, the Classic offers basic amenities like vinyl or cloth seating and three cab choices – regular, standard, or crew. A regular cab offers two doors, while the quad and crew have different four-door configurations for more seating. The different cabs also come with different bed lengths to perfectly suit your hauling needs. Trims are narrowed down to two choices for 2023, the Tradesman or SLT along with two powerful engine options with a V6 or V8. You can stick with the standard 26-gallon fuel tank, or upgrade to the 32-gallon for more drivability. Inside, there are even more customization options, with a multitude of standard and available features. Being a Classic model, there are few tech features included, although you do have several options to upgrade. The Electronics Group bundle includes an upgraded 8.4-inch infotainment system compatible with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto that replaces the standard 5-inch touchscreen. There’s also an option for a Wi-Fi hotspot, an especially convenient function for work on the road. Other upgrade options include: Interior Cold Weather Group Trailer Tow Group ParkSense Rear Park Assist If you want to give your Classic a more unique look, the Warlock All Terrain Package adds function and style to the SLT trim. Matte black 17-inch alloy wheels, all-terrain tires, and rubber mats in front and back take the Classic off-road. Although not much has changed for the 2023 models, there’s a lot to love about the new Ram Classic. Be on the lookout for 2023 Ram 1500 Classic models to hit the floor soon at Benna CDJR! We keep our online inventory up-to-date with the latest vehicles, or you can contact us for more information on release date and pricing information as it becomes available.

What goes on behind the RAM branding?

Now its own iconic brand, the distinctive Ram head first appeared on Dodge trucks in 1981. The two divided in 2009, paving the path for Ram to grow and innovate on its own. Now, over a decade later, Ram is still testing the limits of power and performance to give its new and loyal customers the ride of their life. Focus on Quality Since their beginning, Rams have been designed with longevity in mind. Every material and detail that goes into a Ram is meticulously chosen, and only those with the highest quality meet the standard. What was once just a thing of utility has transformed into a luxurious experience, made with style inside and out. From hard-wearing leather seats to dust-repelling exterior finish, every last detail is meant to convey a sense of individuality and personality. Within different Ram models, you can find distinctive details and styling. Where the Longhorn shows off the Ram’s history, the new TRX is built for the off-road. Even different trims have their own styling and customization packages to make every truck unique. However, they all convey the same message – quality above all. Rams keep up with new technology and tastes without sacrificing what makes the brand unique. Pushing the Boundaries The Ram hasn’t been afraid to adapt throughout the years. In fact, the opposite is true – Rams are constantly breaking boundaries of innovation. The objective is to change the standard of what a truck is meant to be. Instead of a pickup that hauls and tows, the Ram is now so much more. The 1500 keeps providing a durable and tough exterior that’s meant to be treated like a truck should with unexpected luxury like real wood paneling and high-quality leather seating. Such a contrast seems like it wouldn’t work, but for the Ram, it just does. That’s because its designers put thought and years of research into each decision that makes it to the final cut. Each year, Ram’s offerings seem to step up the game, taking each truck to the next level. Find a Ram of Your Own Do you want to see what the Ram is all about for yourself? You can browse Benna CDJR’s online inventory. Or, better yet, come test drive one for yourself at our Superior, WI dealership! Either way, we’d love to get you behind the wheel of your own Ram. Kaiser Jeep SEMA Concept

Mopar Brought Cool New Concepts to SEMA

Did you miss the Speciality Equipment Market Association show in Las Vegas earlier this month? You may have heard it called SEMA. And, for the automotive industry, it’s a show worth going to! While the attendees from the automotive trade looked at the latest in parts and accessories, Mopar showed a few concepts and the latest accessories for both current and concept vehicles. They certainly pulled out all of the stops down in Las Vegas! more Cool Jeeps Jeep offered up four concepts at SEMA. The Jeep Wrangler 4xe concept showcased the icon’s off-roading side while promoting the efficiency of the plug-in hybrid driveline. This concept uses a vast array of Jeep Performance Parts, from a two-inch lift kit for the suspension to bumpers, Gorilla Glass, tube doors, Katzkin leather seats, and so forth. This is topped off with a set of BFGoodrich 37-inch tires mounted on Beadlock wheels for maximum grip on the rocks. One concept that intrigued us was the Jeep Wrangler Overlook concept. This extended length Wrangler Unlimited Sahara and adds a third row, plus additional cargo space. The rear part of the roof was raised with “safari glass” above. This concept is equipped with its own set of Jeep Performance Parts, including a two-inch lift kit and a Tailgate Reinforcement System, and an Oversized Spare Tire Carrier Modification Kit. The new Grand Cherokee L also got the SEMA treatment with its Breckenridge concept. This luxurious concept is painted with a two-tone Magnetite matte/metallic and gloss-black paint scheme with satin bronze accents. Mopar installed a set of five-spoke 21-inch alloy wheels. Mopar also adds interior accents, such as stainless-steel pedal covers with black rubber pad to make this luxurious interior pop even more. Rounding out Jeep’s SEMA offerings is the Kaiser Jeep M725 concept. This may remind you of the old Gladiator pickups from the 1960s, crossed with their military counterpart. It is powered by a Mopar 392 Crate HEMI® V-8 engine linked to a vintage TorqueFlite 727 automatic transmission. This combination delivers 485 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque. It serves as a support vehicle for off-road adventures, while capable of its own excursions into the rough country. Ram Tough! Ram brought two concepts to SEMA. The Ram 1500 TRX RexRunner wears a host of Mopar accessories and custom parts making it more aggressive than your average run-of-the-mill TRX. This concept includes custom metal skid plates that feature laser-etched Mopar lettering and protect the front and rear underside areas of the truck. The use of the front skid plate helps to increase the approach angle by 2.3 degrees up to 32.5 degrees. This is helped by a set of 37-inch Goodyear tires riding on 18-by-9-inch Black Rhino Chamber wheels. Ram also brought their 1500 Outdoorsman concept, designed for those who work and play hard. Based on a Big Horn 4X4 Crew Cab pickup truck, the Outdoorsman features a custom two-height position aluminum Mopar bed rack system runs the full width of the truck bed and safely carries items, such as ladders and plywood for work or a kayak, oars, fishing poles or a mountain bike for play. Mounted to the floor of the truck bed, a modified Expertec bed-slide system provides dual rolling panels - each rated at 2,000 pounds - for easy loading and unloading of tools, gear, and equipment. Each sliding panel carries custom T-track rails and mounts to secure items. The bed floor is protected with a durable Mopar spray-in bedliner. Dodge Boys Lastly, SEMA provided the dip. Dodge created the Challenger Holy Guacamole concept with an amazing green paint job that makes it delicious. Based on an R/T Scat Pack Widebody 50th Anniversary Edition, the concept brings back several heritage elements to this modern muscle machine. If the Shaker hood scoop doesn’t draw you in, a set of 20-inch Forgeline wheels and a Mopar coil-over suspension lowering kit will. The interior receives wood panel trim and sport green and yellow plaid upholstery on the seats and door panels. Want to make your own custom creation with your Mopar vehicle? The parts department at Superior Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram can assist you in creating your own special vehicle by facilitating ordering you Mopar parts and accessories along with Jeep Performance Parts.
