Ram 1500 Reigns as MotorTrend 2025 Truck of the Year

The 2025 Ram 1500 arrived with a new approach to the full-sized pickup truck. By introducing a duo of powerful turbocharged in-line six-cylinder engines, the most advanced pickup truck in its class continues to go from strength to strength. Now, it is garnering its own rewards. In fact, MotorTrend has named the Ram 1500 its 2025 Truck of the Year. This honor marks the seventh time a Ram pickup has earned the prestigious title since Ram became a standalone brand. Previous Truck of the Year Awards were presented to Ram in 2010, 2013, 2014, 2019, 2020, 2021, and now 2025. After weeks of testing, MotorTrend’s editors gave the truck high scores in every competitive testing process category. They found what makes the 2025 Ram 1500 one of the most desirable pickup trucks around. It all starts with the 3.0-liter Hurricane Straight-Six Turbo engine. With two versions available, the one they love the most is the higher-output version that delivers up to 540 horsepower. This engine played a significant role in the evaluation and scoring. MotorTrend editors also recognized the wide variety of trim levels for customers to choose from, from the luxury of the Tungsten model to the raw off-road capability of the RHO. MotorTrend 's annual awards recognize the best vehicles representing exceptional value, superiority in their classes, and impact on the automotive scene. The accolades are among the most coveted automotive industry awards and represent the pinnacle of an extremely competitive segment. These award winners are not chosen based on a direct comparison against other finalists. Instead, they are based on the results of how each contender measures against the award’s six criteria: advancement in design, engineering excellence, efficiency, safety, value, and performance of the intended function. Contending vehicles at Truck of the Year are first put through MotorTrend’s full battery of performance tests at a professional automotive test center to evaluate virtually every aspect of each vehicle, then assessed on real-world roads loaded, unloaded, and while towing, as well as at a premiere off-road facility, before a winner is selected. Based on the testing and evaluation MotorTrend gave the 2025 Ram 1500, it is definitely a winner! Our pickup truck not only puts the power down but also has the most advanced suspension system in its class. Being the first pickup truck with a multi-link rear independent rear suspension, the 2025 Ram 1500 delivers an exceptional ride with superb load management and balance. Plus, the 2025 Ram 1500 continues to deliver advanced technology and connectivity with the UConnect 5 infotainment system. You can also share control using the Hands-free Active Driving Assist, our Level 2+ autonomous driving system. These stand-out features are among the many reasons why the 2025 Ram 1500 is a winner. The next step is to see for yourself why the 2025 Ram 1500 is a winner right here in the Twin Ports area. CDJR Models Win Vincentric Best CPO Value Awards, Recognized for Low Ownership Cost

All of the models carried by Benna Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep ®, and Ram are designed to provide value at purchase, throughout ownership, and when it is time for resale. Thus, we are happy to announce that the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep ®, and Ram brands all appear in the 12th annual Vincentric Best CPO Value in America Awards. The awards highlight vehicles that retain their value in the used vehicle market. Vincentric is a data analysis firm for the automotive industry.  Each year, they perform a cost of ownership analysis at the model level, from which comes the Vincentric Best CPO Value in America™ awards. Vincentric measures the cost of ownership using eight different cost factors: Depreciation Fees & taxes Financing Fuel Insurance Maintenance Opportunity cost Repairs Based on their proprietary statistical model, winners are determined by evaluating which vehicles had lower-than-expected ownership costs, given their market segment and price. Each vehicle was evaluated in all 50 states plus Washington, DC, using a range of annual mileage intervals and insurance profiles. Best CPO Value awards The Jeep Wagoneer was awarded for having the Best CPO Value in America in the  Luxury Large SUV category.  Contributing factors include: Outperformed 9 Competitor Models 6.1% below expected ownership costs For the second time, the Chrysler Voyager won the award for the Best CPO Value in America in the minivan category.  Its contributing factors include: 3.8% below expected ownership costs Lowest Total Cost of Ownership in its Class Outperformed 4 Competitor Models "We know consumers consider many factors when purchasing a vehicle, not just the initial cost, but also the overall cost to own, operate, and drive,” said Matt Thompson, Head of U.S. Retail Sales. “These awards are significant because they highlight a range of Stellantis vehicles that offer long-term value retention and peace of mind, from minivans to sedans, to commercial vans and full-size SUVs." Lowest Ownership Cost Recognition With their data on ownership costs, Vincentric also recognizes models that have the lowest in their respective categories. As a result, they recognized these five models for having the lowest total cost of ownership in their class: Chrysler 300 Sedan Ownership costs over $1,856 lower than the nearest competitor Outperformed two competitor models Chrysler Voyager minivan Ownership costs over $1,673 lower than the nearest competitor Outperformed four competitor models Dodge Durango SUV Ownership costs over $1,673 lower than the nearest competitor Outperformed four competitor models Ram ProMaster City Passenger Van Ownership costs over $1,186 lower than the nearest competitor Outperformed seven competitor models Ram ProMaster City Commercial Van Ownership costs over $2,083 lower than the nearest competitor Outperformed two competitor models While it is relatively easy to compare vehicle prices when shopping, comparing the overall cost of ownership is more challenging.  Consequently, Vincentric's work and its awards are valuable tools for anyone looking for a new or used vehicle. We invite you to check out all the Vincentric’s winners, at Benna CDJR.

The 2025 Ram 1500 Tradesman Is a "Life Hack"

Work trucks like the Ram 1500 Tradesman drive the economy of the Twin Ports area. They work hard to plow the driveways and parking lots during winter. They also are there to inspect your home, replace your roof, work on your lawn, and complete many other tasks. In a recent article by MotorTrend, the editor called the 2025 Ram 1500 Tradesman —our work truck—a “life hack.” What does that even mean? Certainly, all you need are the basics. While pickup truck customers are attracted to fancier trims with leather interiors, power steps, and so forth—and there are 2025 Ram 1500 trim levels that have everything you can dream of—the 2025 Ram 1500 Tradesman represents a value-for-money pickup truck that gives you what you need at a price that does not break the budget. It also has the latest engineering and technology that lets you do your work safely and securely. The outlet received a Tradesman in the Crew Cab configuration with the six-foot four-inch box with four-wheel drive. It is powered by the Standard Output version of the Hurricane 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine, putting down 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque. This configuration is specified with a payload of 1,620 pounds and a maximum tow rating of 11,310 pounds. The 2025 Ram 1500 Tradesman is a hard-working truck that offers the basics. It provides up to six seats inside the Crew Cab and has standard air conditioning, power windows, and door locks. If you don’t need the center seat up front, fold the seatback down for an armrest, cupholders, and some stowage. As it reviewed the pickup truck, MotorTrend pointed out that the 2025 Ram 1500 Tradesman uses coil springs at the rear axle. According to the article, “As a result, it handles impacts just as comfortably with a bed full of air as it does with 1,600 pounds of compost in the back. The smooth and settled ride—along with the tranquil cabin—is one of the key reasons we think this work truck could realistically be used as a personal or family vehicle.” It also remarked how quiet this 2025 Ram 1500 Tradesman was thanks to a quieter engine and better sound insulation throughout. A quiet work truck? You can live with that. The 2025 Ram 1500 Tradesman is available in Quad Cab with the six-foot four-inch box and Crew Cab with both the five-foot seven-inch and six-foot four-inch boxes. The point of the “life hack” idea is simple: You can get a very capable pickup truck—with the upgraded Standard Output Hurricane twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine and four-wheel drive—at a great value. The Tradesman is not just for businesses, but for you who use a pickup truck every day to take the kids to school or to head up the North Shore for a camping trip. If the 2025 Ram 1500 Tradesman is your idea of a “life hack,” contact us at Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to check out one soon.

The 2025 Ram 1500 Has the Power You Need

How much power do you need when it comes to pickup trucks? It all comes down to how you use your pickup truck. The are two new engines available for the 2025 Ram 1500. Both of them are called Hurricane. They are twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engines with dual overhead camshafts and 24 valves. Why two of the same engines? The Hurricane comes in two different performance levels. The one you’ve been hearing about is the High Output version with 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque. However, there is a Standard Output version with 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque. Most 2025 Ram 1500s come with the Standard Output version. The Standard Output engine can carry the weight. Depending on trim level and configuration, the 2025 Ram 1500 with this engine can tow up to 11,600 pounds when equipped with a rear axle ratio of 3.92. Payloads can go up to 1,900 pounds, also depending on trim level and configuration. In a recent test, MotorTrend took a four-wheel drive, Crew Cab, five-foot seven-inch bed 2025 Ram 1500 Laramie to see how the Standard Output Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six performed. The phrase the editors used to describe this configuration and engine specification was “great power.” There is more than just “great power” with the Standard Output Hurricane engine. There is improved efficiency. The Environmental Protection Agency has rated it to achieve up to 24 mpg on the highway with four-wheel drive. With a 26-gallon standard fuel tank, that translates to a maximum fuel range of 624 miles. With the available 33-gallon fuel tank, that maximum range extends to 792 miles. We understand that there is “no replacement for displacement.” However, if you compare the 2025 Ram 1500 with the Standard Output Hurricane engine to the previous Hemi V-8 with the eTorque 48-volt electric hybrid system, you will find that the discontinued engine put down less performance—395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque—and returned lower fuel economy ratings. You can get the Standard Output Hurricane engine in the 2025 Ram 1500 Tradesman, Warlock, Big Horn, Laramie, and Rebel. The High Output version is available in higher trim levels, such as the RHO, Limited, Tungsten, and Longhorn. If the 2025 Ram 1500 is your solution to achieve “great power” at work or play, contact us at Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to get yours soon! See why it has become the preferred power source for Twin Ports pickup truck owners.

3.0 Hurricane Straight Six High Output Engine Wards 10Best Engines

3.0-liter Hurricane High Output Straight-Six Turbo Engine Named to Wards 10 Best Engines & Propulsion Systems List

The all-new 2025 Ram 1500 has only recently started making its way into the hands of owners, and the truck is already picking up awards. This time, the 3.0-liter Hurricane High Output engine has been named to Wards 10 Best Engines and Propulsion Systems List. The second-generation Ram pickup changed the truck world when it debuted in 1994 and continues to do so two decades later. What An Engine The 3.0-liter Hurricane High Output (H/O) Straight-Six Turbo (SST) engine puts out 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with the TorqueFlight 8-speed automatic transmission and is featured in the Ram 1500 Longhorn, Limited, RHO, and Tungsten trim levels. What is Wards 10 Best Engines and Propulsion Systems? Wards 10 Best Engines is an annual list that has been taking place for the past 30 years. Every year, the best engines are tested by Wards and evaluated for their power and torque, as well as noise, vibration, harshness (NVH), and various technical aspects of the engines against one another. There is no instrumented testing carried out because that is more of an understanding of a car’s overall performance. This is the tenth time a Ram engine has been one of Wards 10 Best engines since the list’s inception in 1994 for 1995 models. A Word from Stellantis “We engineered our Hurricane twin turbo engines to be powerful, efficient, robust and versatile, delivering performance that enhances the driving experience both on- and off-road, and while towing,” said Micky Bly, Head of Global Propulsion Systems of Stellantis. “The 3.0-liter Hurricane High Output engine, standard in the 2025 Ram 1500 Tungsten, exemplifies our ability to satisfy a range of truck customer needs, offering power, performance, capability and class-leading NHV in one package.” A Word from Wards “The Hurricane High-Output Straight-Six Turbo packs a powerful punch from launch to well past legal speed, while also delivering promised fuel economy that represents an improvement over the HEMI® V-8 it replaces,” says Bob Gritzinger, Wards Editor-in-Chief. “I like the assured rumble from the High-Output I-6. This engine should sway even the most rabid V-8 buyer into the 6-cylinder family.” Two Engines to Rule Them All The Hurricane engine line are some of the most powerful 6-cylinders ever put into a vehicle, especially a pickup truck. While the High Output engine was one of Wards 10 Best, buyers are also falling in love with the Standard Output (S/O) engine that produces 420 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque in the Tradesman, Big Horn, Lone Star, Laramie, and Rebel pickups. While having 540 horsepower on tap is a nice feeling, lots of customers just don’t need or want that kind of power on a daily basis. Both engines offer buyers the choice of what they prefer. At Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, we offer some of the best prices and services to all of our customers. With dozens of new and used vehicles to choose from, our great sales team and finance department will work hard to make sure you drive away happy. And our amazing service department will take care of your new-to-you vehicle as if it were their own.

Both Ram 1500 and Jeep Gladiator Compete in the 2024 Rebelle Rally

Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram is proud to tell you that Ram and Jeep’s toughest off-road pickup trucks will be well represented in the 2024 Rebelle Rally, with participant vehicles including both the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO and 2025 Jeep Gladiator Mojave. The Rally will run from October 10-19 and cover over 1,500 miles of California and Nevada desert. The 2024 Rebelle Rally will be the ninth annual running of this first and only all-women navigation off-road rally. The Ram Team A team of two journalists will run the Ram 1500 RHO. The team's driver is Kristin Shaw, an accomplished freelance journalist who writes for the automotive and aviation fields. Her articles can be found in notable publications such as Popular Science, Car and Driver, I nsideEVs, Edmunds, Forbes, Road & Track, A Girls Guide to Cars, Motor1, Airport Improvement magazine, and many more. Team navigator Jill Ciminillo is also an experienced automotive writer, managing editor of Pickup Truck+SUV Talk, and contributing editor to Consumer Guide Automotive. She is also a popular podcaster and YouTube personality. The two call their team the Brute Squad, and this is the team’s third Rebelle Rally (but their first time in a Ram 1500 RHO). The truck is powered by the all-new 3.0-liter Hurricane High Output (H/O) twin-turbocharged inline-6 engine, the most powerful from the Stellantis Hurricane engine lineup. The Hurricane High Output engine is rated at 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque, which makes it the strongest Ram 1500 ever. Its horsepower and torque are greater than any other naturally aspirated V-8 or boosted six-cylinder engine in the light-duty segment, and it offers more horsepower per dollar than any other premium off-road full-size pickup. “The Ram 1500 RHO is right at home in the Rebelle Rally, and we’re proud to support Team Brute Squad in this year’s event,” said Chris Feuell, Ram brand CEO – Stellantis. “Our trucks are tested in the toughest environments, and this event is a unique way to showcase how RHO reinforces North America’s leading off-road truck lineup.” The Jeep Team The veteran team of Nena Barlow and Teralin Petereit will drive the Jeep Gladiator. Barlow operates Barlow Adventures, which offers four-wheel-drive training, Jeep SUV rentals, and guided trips throughout the southwestern United States. Petereit is a nurse from Utah who has embraced off-roading as a hobby, navigating numerous trails and competitions over the years. Barlow and Petereit are among the most accomplished Rebelle Rally veterans. They have competed in a combined 14 rallies with 12 podium finishes. They have been teammates for three of those rallies. Their Jeep Gladiator Mojave is the only model in the Jeep lineup to wear the Desert Rated badge. It features a reinforced frame and axles, strengthened iron steering knuckles, and an enhanced suspension with segment-exclusive FOX hydraulic jounce bumpers. “We’re honored to represent the Jeep brand once again,” said Barlow. “The rally is tougher than ever, but we don’t have to worry about capability in our Jeep Gladiator Mojave. We never hesitate to chase the toughest checkpoints and that’s a huge advantage. And this is seen repeatedly by how many Jeep SUVs are in the rally and on the podium.” Unique Rebelle Rally Challenges The event poses a challenging role for the navigator as she must navigate this eight-day rally without GPS, cell phones, or any other navigation devices. Instead, she must find their way by combining elements of headings, hidden checkpoints, time, and distance using only a map, compass, and roadbook. There are also no personal support crews, so whatever they need on the route, they must take with them. It is particularly challenging even by Rally standards. Benna CDJR wishes both teams the best and invites you to visit our location to sample the vehicles that have the confidence of these two teams to complete in this challenging event.

2025 Red RAM 1500 Tungsten - Front/Side View

Motor Authority Finds the 2025 Ram 1500 Tungsten King of the Luxury Truck Hill

Motor Authority reviewed the flagship of the 2025 Ram 1500 model line, and it is hard to find a more succinct summary than theirs:  “ Anyone looking for the nicest full-size pickup truck money can buy should just head to their local Ram showroom.” This Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram post tells you more of what they had to say. As Luxurious as It Gets Inside As mentioned, the Tungsten is at the top of the Ram 1500 model line.  Step inside, and only the size of the cabin indicates you are in a truck.  As they put it: “Most of the cabin’s covered in thick leather or soft-touch materials. The door uppers, seats, dashboard, steering wheel, and even the grab handles all feature beautiful accent stitching. GM, Ford, and Toyota should be taking notes.” They take further note of the 24-way power adjustable front massaging, cooled, and heated seats, and the 14.4-inch touchscreen.  Despite the screen’s size, a complete set of hard controls remains for the climate system.  They did comment that the head-up display did not seem compatible with polarized glasses before mentioning the novelty of the 10.3-inch screen for the front passenger.  They summarize the cabin by stating, “The 23-speaker Klipsch audio system with 1,375 watts of power and 24 channels is easily the best sound system I’ve heard in a truck. It even places speakers in the front seatbacks.” Nice But Not Showy Exterior Motor Authority points out the contrast between the Tungsten’s interior and exterior. Drawing a contrast to the GMC Denali, they state that it looks nicely finished but isn’t overbearing and doesn’t scream, “L ook at how much money I spent!” Hurricane Power Like all Ram 1500s, the Tungsten is powered by a six, rather than eight-cylinder engine.  However, we are talking about the High Output  Hurricane Inline-6 that produces 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque.  As they mention, the only more powerful light-duty truck engine is in the Ford Raptor R, which is, as they say, “an entirely different animal.” Nobody is going to jump a Ram 1500 Tungsten, though they do mention that drifting is an option. Riding on Air Instead, the Tungsten is about getting the job done in comfort.  The truck rides on an air suspension.  Not only does this pull off lowering the vehicle when Park is selected to make entering and exiting easier, but it also self-levels the truck when given a heavy load while not being so over-sprung to take the load that the truck is harsh when it is gone.  Ram has a winner with the 4-wheel independent suspension on all of the 1500 models, and it definitely isn’t going to mess that up on its top truck. No Hands It is not surprising that the Tungsten comes with the Stellantis Hands-free driving system. Like similar systems from GM and Ford, it enables genuine hands-free driving on pre-mapped highways. The Tungsten is available solely with the Crew Cab and 5’7” box with a 4x4 drivetrain.  The starting MSRP is $87,320, and there isn’t too much to add. It is within spitting distance from the GMC Denali Ultimate or Ford F-150 Platinum, both of which, according to Motor Authority,  don’t quite reach the luxury levels of the Tungsten.  If you are thinking of a new pickup truck, we invite you to visit Benna CDJR to sample the entire award-winning Ram 1500 model line, including the King of the Hill Tungsten.

The Power of Six: The 2025 Ram 1500

For years, the word ”HEMI” has been all you need to describe the Ram 1500. The V8 engine stands for towing, hauling, and superior power in our pickup truck. Not anymore. The 2025 Ram 1500 has something completely different underneath its hood – two less cylinders. Six-cylinder power has always been a part of the Ram 1500’s power choices. This is different. The Ram 1500 has a choice of two twin-turbocharged in-line six-cylinder engines on most models. They call them the Hurricane. We say two because you have a choice of a 420-horsepower version that does the job in every way. However, bigger tasks and challenges are reserved for the 540-horsepower High-Output version found on models such as the RHO and Tungsten. Edmunds.com had a chance to drive a Tungsten with the High-Output Hurricane engine. They clocked the 2025 Ram 1500 as configured at 4.7 seconds from 0-60 MPH with a quarter-mile time of 13.0 seconds at 104.7 MPH. They claim that these times are much faster than a HEMI V8-powered Ram 1500. In comparison, Edmunds.com stated that the timing for the 2025 Ram 1500 Tungsten is as fast as “ performance cars like the new Nissan Z and Toyota GR Corolla Morizo Edition.” Being quick and fast is not exactly how you measure a pickup truck and its driveline. It is flattering, but the true measure of a 2025 Ram 1500 is how it hauls – and tows.  Equipped with the High-Output Hurricane engine, it can tow up to 9,920 pounds with a payload of up to 1,520 pounds. It also puts down 521 pound-feet of torque to handle those limits. The Tungsten trim is new for 2025. It is a higher level of pickup truck luxury that spoils you with fine leather seats, the highest level of technology, safety, and engineering unmatched in any pickup truck in its size class. Add the benefit of the twin-turbocharged Hurricane engine, and you have one exceptional pickup truck! The High-Output Hurricane engine is also standard on the new off-road conqueror – the RHO. Plus, it also powers the Limited and Limited Longhorn trim levels. Most of the 2025 Ram 1500 models are equipped with the 420-horsepower version of the Hurricane twin-turbocharged engine. When you are ready to upgrade to the new Hurricane engine under the hood of the 2025 Ram 1500, contact us at Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to experience the new power of our famed pickup truck today!

Twister Sequel Stars Ram Truck Again

1996 was a good year for movies, and one of the most successful titles of that year was Twister, about tornado-chasing scientists in Oklahoma. Its box office was only second to the alien invasion CGI spectacular Independence Day. Twister starred Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton as our scrappy hero storm chasers and Cary Elwes as the well-funded nemesis storm chaser. Benna Chrysler Dodge Ram would like to point out that an unofficial central character of the film was the red 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 that our heroes used for their chasing. Now, “just” 28 years later, comes a Twister sequel called simply Twisters. None of the original cast returns, but a Ram truck again stars as the hero storm-chasing truck. Based on the trailer, the new film pits the educated elites against our blue-collar storm chaser guys with cowboy hats and thick accents. Plus, there is a brilliant blonde “city girl” former storm chaser who clearly falls in with the local dudes. In keeping with the hero’s underdog status, their ride is not a new truck. It’s an early 2000s 20-year-old Ram dually looking more like a truck carrying the camera and film crew rather than in front of the lens with an extensive external roll cage, lights, and lots of downhome tornado wrangler stuff. But the truck also has a black primer hood to keep it looking humble. One Speed Racer-like modification is internal drills in each corner to fasten the truck into the ground when things get a bit breezy. In the first movie, the Ram truck’s bed carried a device called “Dorothy” that released hundreds of little sensors that were swept up into the tornado to provide valuable information. This time around, these tornadoes are really mean and not content with knocking down billboards and flattening trailer parks. Reno, Nevada, gets beat up, and a refinery blows up along the way. So, the goal is nothing as wimpy as mere education. This time, they are going to kick some tornado tail, or rather “disrupt” the tornado and save everyone. Other more contemporary Ram trucks also appear in the trailer, including a Ram 1500 TRX and (keeping it in the extended family) an early 80s Jeep J10 pickup that is literally taken by the wind. An equipment-laden Toyota 4Runner also does some chasing, only to meet a bad end. This is middle America, after all, so no Toyota is going to save the day. As much as we at Benna CDJR, who sell new Ram trucks, would like a shiny new Ram truck to be the hero like last time, there is something to be appreciated about a 20-year-old Ram getting the job done. Twisters opens on July 19th.

Ram Off-Road Truck Lineup

2025 Ram 1500 Hurricane Engines For The Win

Thirty years ago, the Dodge Ram 1500 had a radical redesign. A large, imposing grille with the brand’s traditional cross-hair design was upfront. The fenders on each side were significantly lower and housed the headlights, giving the front end the appearance of a semi-tractor. Many called it the big-rig look. In addition to boosting Ram sales, the look inspired the styling of its rivals. They didn’t copy the big-rig looks so much as they tried to out-macho each other. Now, almost every full-size Ford, GM, or Toyota truck looks ready to either devour or just beat up whatever is in front of them. Ram has already stepped away from the trend it started, trading brutality for refinement, and the design tweaks of the new 2025 Ram 1500 further that direction. And yet, the truck is tougher than ever, thanks in part to a new family of engines replacing the former Hemi V-8s. Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram invites you to read this brief rundown on the new 2025 Ram 1500. Outside, the changes are few. The grille and headlights have been finessed for a more integrated appearance, there are new grille mesh treatments on certain models, and the lower front appearance has been de-cluttered. The refined look visually represents the critically acclaimed ride quality of its double control-arm front and five-link solid rear axle supported by coil springs. This arrangement has put the Ram 1500 on Car and Driver’s 10 Best list for multiple years in a row, among other accolades. But let’s begin with the significant changes under the hood. Smaller Engine, Greater Power All Ram engines will now have six cylinders. The current 305-hp Pentastar 3.6-liter V-6 continues to be the base engine. Above that, everything has changed. Replacing the former 5.2-liter V-8 is the Hurricane aluminum 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight-six. The engine produces 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. That is 25 more horsepower and 50 more lb-ft of torque than the 5.7-liter V-8 it replaces. The two turbos spool up quickly as each only has three cylinders to fill, so the peak torque arrives at a very accessible 3,500 rpm. Paired to the engine is the familiar 8-speed Torqueflite automatic. Despite the added power, the EPA combined estimate for the powertrain with 4WD is two more miles per gallon than the V-8 at 24. At the top of the Ram 1500 engine hierarchy is the High-Output Hurricane, which remains at 3.0 liters but increases turbo boost from 22 to 28 psi to produce 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft. The engine also features forged aluminum pistons, revised ignition coils, and upgraded fuel injectors to handle the increased power. The smooth 8-speed Torqueflite transmission handles this engine as well. New Tech and New Heights of Luxury Inside Like the exterior, the interior design is refined rather than redone. Formerly an upgrade, the 8.4-inch touchscreen is now standard, with touchscreens measuring 12 inches or more available on other models. The big screens are positioned in a portrait format and are powered by the latest version of the intuitive Uconnect system. All models have wireless Apple CarPlay ® and Android Auto TM. Ram positions convenient physical controls on each side of the screen for temperature, fan speed, defrost, and other functions. Now at the top of the 1500 range, the Tungsten model transforms the 1500 into a full-fledged luxury vehicle with an open bed in the back. While lower models already offer leather, the Tungsten takes it up a notch with quilted leather seats that are heated and ventilated, complete with massaging. The center features a 14.2-inch touchscreen, and the front passenger gets their own 10.25-inch touchscreen to control the 23-speaker 1,228-watt Klipsch-branded audio system. These interior upgrades truly elevate the 2025 Ram 1500's luxury and comfort. “Tougher and more refined” defines the new 2025 Ram 1500 model lineup, and Ram is betting that it is exactly what you want in your next or first pickup. Honda is the major winner in this year's Consumer Choice Awards, nearly sweeping all of the non-luxury categories and taking home more wins than any other automaker for 2024.

Ram and Dodge Take Home 2024 Kelley Blue Book Consumer Choice Awards

Benna Chrysler, Dodge Jeep Ram is thrilled to share that two of its esteemed brands, Ram and Dodge, have been honored with prestigious awards from Kelley Blue Book and its Consumer Choice Awards. Ram has been recognized as the Best Overall Truck Brand, while Dodge has been lauded as the Best Car Styling Brand for a non-luxury brand, an award it has won five times in the past six years. These accolades hold immense value as they are a testament to the exceptional quality and design of our vehicles, as acknowledged by the consumers themselves. The Kelley Blue Book Consumer Choice Awards are a true testament to the popularity and customer satisfaction of these two automotive brands. These awards are based on the data from their comprehensive Brand Watch study, which engages over 12,000 in-market new-vehicle shoppers annually through KBB.com. The study delves into the factors that drive purchase decisions, revealing brand and model familiarity and loyalty among new-car shoppers. This consumer-driven source makes these awards even more significant and meaningful. Ram: Best Overall Truck Brand The award comes at a good time for Ram as it prepares the launch of an extensively updated 2025 Ram 1500, which includes the debut of its 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 engine family. This model line is expected to surpass the performance of the brand’s previous V-8 offerings and includes a version to be rated at 540 horsepower. Other features to arrive with the 2025 truck include a 14-inch touchscreen, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and even an available 10.25-inch front passenger display, all using the latest Uconnect5 operating system. Other available features include a Head-up Display and the ability to use a smartphone as a key. Also on its way is the 2025 Ram 1500 REV full-size all-electric pickup, which is expected to launch in the fall of 2024. The truck, which intentionally resembles the conventional Ram 1500, is expected to have a standard 168 kilowatt-hour battery for an estimated range of 350 miles. Dual motors will produce 654 horsepower and 620 lb-ft of torque across all rpm. The truck will have a maximum payload capacity of 2,625 pounds and a maximum towing capacity of 14,000 pounds. Expected for the following year is an available 229-kilowatt-hour battery for an estimated range of 500 miles. Dodge: Best Car Styling Dodge reclaims this award in the same year it says farewell to its Charger and Challenger muscle car lines. Those consumers will not be disappointed by the return of the all-new Charger Daytona, which will be the world’s first EV muscle car upon its arrival. The car will be available initially as a 2-door coupe and later as a 4-door sport sedan, both carrying overt muscle car lines from Dodge’s past while looking thoroughly modern. The Charger Daytona will be a multi-energy model lineup, and following the EV introduction, a gas-powered version of the same will feature the Hurricane engine lineup. The 4-door body style will arrive at about the same time as both EV and gas drivetrains. Ram and Dodge are both part of the Stellantis brand family, which includes Chrysler and Jeep, each with its own exciting models. You can see them all at the appropriately named Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram store.

2025 Ram 1500 RHO Side Profile Off Road

Ram 1500 RHO Is The New Off-Road Benchmark

The 2025 Ram 1500 is quickly becoming all the rage among those looking to buy a new truck. Trucks are a major staple in general these days, and engineering a new truck that can outwork the competition is getting tougher and tougher. However, Ram has successfully won MotorTrend’s Truck of the Year award eight times since 1994, with six of those awards being from 2013 to the present. And certainly, a possible shoo-in for Truck of the Year is the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO. All-New Performance With a starting price of $69,995, the all-new Ram 1500 RHO gives buyers the all-new 3.0-liter Hurricane High Output (H/O) Straight-Six Turbo (SST), which produces 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque. Ram claims this will allow the RHO to get from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds and to 100 mph in only 11.7 seconds. The Ram RHO can also get through the ¼-mile in 13.1 seconds at 105 mph. A Word From Ram CEO “The 2025 Ram 1500 RHO is the latest result of a relentless pursuit to engineer, design and deliver a truck that charges into the segment head down and horn up,” said Tim Kuniskis, Ram Brand CEO – Stellantis. “All that we’ve learned from developing every truck in Ram’s legendary lineup has led us to the most capable light-duty pick-up truck, offering the best value with more horsepower per dollar than any other off-road truck.” Truck Capabilities It isn’t all about speed and performance, though, as the Ram RHO will have a towing capacity of 8,380 lbs, a maximum payload of 1,520 lbs, and as much as 32 inches of water fording. It's super fast and still very practical. The RHO will be the most powerful 6-cylinder truck in the segment. And thanks to that new H/O SST, the RHO is 150 lbs lighter than previous performance Ram models, which will aid in giving it better driving dynamics and overall balance. New Transfer Case & Low Range A brand new BorgWarner 48-13 full-time active transfer case has been added to ensure no off-road or inclement weather conditions will hamper its abilities and performance. A low range of 2.64:1 allows the RHO to go rock-crawling out of the box, and it can be flat-towed in neutral without harming anything. Suspension Upgrades New Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive performance shocks, the shocks on the Ram RHO, coupled with independent front suspension, are able to continuously adjust the damping forces for excellent body control and terrain isolation. The special Bilsteins can seamlessly adapt to on- and off-road driving to maintain the utmost comfort and performance handling. Thanks to an innovative design, the rear suspension allows the RHO to have 14 inches of rear axle travel, which is 40% greater than all other Ram 1500 models. Ride Height The 2025 Ram RHO has been given a 2-inch increase in ride height and 35-inch tires. This means the new RHO's ground clearance is a very respectable 11.8 inches. Interior Displays The driver and front passenger have also been given attention with 12-way power and leather front seats with memory and massage functions. Front passengers will also have dual wireless phone chargers. The RHO has over 50 inches of total screens in the cabin, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment display, a 10.25-inch passenger display that is only visible to the front passenger and has three primary functions: co-pilot which displays the navigation and device management, entertainment via the HDMI port, and the ability to view all of the external cameras. A user-configurable head-up display can be as large as 10 inches and give the driver all permanent information available while driving, including navigation and adaptive cruise control, among other features. Special Features The 2025 Ram 1500 will feature a new Level 2+ hands-free driving assist system that allows drivers to go hands-free on certain roads, center the truck in the lane, and slow the vehicle when driving on curvy roads. Sitting below the infotainment screen will be an RHO-exclusive multifunction switch bank and the available Trailer Reverse Steer Control. 2025 Ram 1500 models can be optioned with a 900-watt Harman Kardon 19-speaker sound system with a 10-inch subwoofer.
