Chrysler Unveils Pacifica FAV Edition

Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (CDJR) is pleased to announce that the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica lineup will include a new Family Adventure Vehicle (FAV). The Pacifica FAV adds utility and style to the already robust Pacifica minivan package. The Chrysler Pacifica has already proven to be the best-selling minivan in the U.S. It boasts the best-in-class standard overall cargo volume and is the only plug-in hybrid minivan in the industry. The latter is also the fourth-best-selling plug-in hybrid in the country. Having debuted at the 2024 Los Angeles Auto Show, the Pacifica FAV Edition bolsters that class-leading cargo space with a Thule rooftop cargo carrier, adding 16 cubic feet of volume. This makes the model for large families traveling with all three rows of seats being used or smaller families not interested in traveling light. Of course, it is also ideal for camping and the perfect location for tents, sleeping bags, and other outdoor equipment. The Thule cargo carrier is mounted on a set of black Mopar roof rails, which are also included in the package. The roof rails are complemented by a blacked-out grille, black side mirrors, front and rear valance, and bespoke black 18-inch Foreshadow wheels. All-weather floor mats and a large cargo mat enhance interior utility by guarding against rain, mud, snow, spills, and more. A Uconnect 5 infotainment system with an onboard navigation system and a premium 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system enhance interior technology (Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid FAV features a 20-speaker system). The FAV is Built from the Select Pacifica trim, which already features: Standard second- and third-row Stow ‘n Go seating (Plug-in Hybrid has third-row Stow ‘n Go) Adaptive cruise control Lane Departure Warning, Blind-spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path detection Rear Park Assist Auto-dimming rearview mirror Second-row one-touch windows Universal garage door opener “No matter the adventure, whether it’s a cross-country vacation, a local outing for a picnic or road trip for a soccer or hockey tournament, the Chrysler Pacifica FAV Edition helps families load up for fun with best-in-class standard overall cargo volume combined with sporty appearance and additional unique content and road trip-ready accessories,” said Chris Feuell, Chrysler Brand CEO. “The Chrysler Pacifica FAV joins the recent return of the Chrysler Voyager in building up the Chrysler minivan lineup and really giving our families and customers the power to choose the vehicle that most closely fits their lifestyles.” The Pacifica FAV will be available with both conventional and plug-in hybrid drivetrains and exterior color choices of Diamond Black, Red Hot, and Bright White. The starting MSRP for the non-electrified model will be $45,345. The Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid FAV has a starting MSRP of $53,950. The Pacifica FAV models can be expected to arrive at the Benna CDJR inventory in the first quarter of 2025. They may already be available by the time you read this. If not, contact one of our Benna CDJR sales professionals and ask them to notify you when the first models arrive.

The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Is One Minivan To Love

When the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid first debuted in 2017, there were plenty of doubters. Could a plug-in hybrid work with families on the go? Years later, that answer is “yes.” After all, it is the first plug-in hybrid minivan sold in America. This was confirmed by Inside EV, where they claimed how much they love this combination of electric and gasoline power that is rechargeable. The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid works on two types of energy sources: Gasoline and electricity. The Pacifica’s rechargeable battery pack can run an estimated 32 miles on a full charge. The V6 gasoline engine is not used at all. Just pure electric propulsion, including instant torque. Running on battery power makes sense when you’re commuting in the Twin Ports area, getting groceries, or doing some shopping around town. It even makes sense when you're taking the kids to sports practice or music lessons without using one drop of fuel. Inside EV also found that there is one way you can drive without using gasoline. On the e-shifter knob, turn it into the L position, and it will put the electric motor into a maximum regeneration mode. When your battery pack runs down to almost empty, the hybrid system switches to the V6 gasoline engine. You may have a few drops of electrons left, and some more could be recoverable through regenerative braking. There may be occasions when you start off using the electric motor and then switch to the gasoline engine without any interruption. The switch between the two power sources is very seamless. Recharging is easy. It can take up to a Level 2 charge either at home or at a public charging station. You can install a Level 2 charger for your home. A wall-mounted Free2Move is available through Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. You could also get a wall-mounted charger from another source. There are plenty of electricians in the Twin Ports area who can assist you in installing your own home charger. If you’re looking for a charging station, Jeep has you covered. You can find them in downtown Duluth and on the campus of the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Other apps can assist in finding a spot to charge the Pacifica Hybrid when you are away from home. If you want a minivan that can run on both gasoline and electricity, contact us at Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to experience the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid today!

Chrysler Celebrates Pacifica As The Most Awarded Minivan

It was 40 years ago when the Chrysler Corporation invented the modern minivan. That was long enough ago that some models even sported wood grain paneling on the side. It sparked a whole new genre in the automotive industry with several models from domestic and import manufacturers, but the Mopar Minivans always led the way. Such was its dominance that the Chrysler Pacifica is now the only domestic brand on the market. There are import competitors, but the Pacifica still leads the pack, and Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is proud to pass on the fact that the Pacifica is the most awarded minivan on the market. Innovation Large and Small Throughout its seven-year design, the Chrysler Pacifica has garnered over 175 awards and accolades from industry reviewers. These awards recognize Pacifica's constant innovation, from the practicality of its Stow-and-Go 2nd- and 3rd-row seats, which can transform from people carrier to full cargo carrier without the hassle of removing seats, to the reassurance of the FamCAM, which allows the driver to monitor an infant in a reverse-facing child seat. The Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) is a testament to Chrysler's commitment to innovation and sustainability. Designed with the typical minivan usage in mind, the Pacifica PHEV can be charged overnight on a regular household outlet and then run on electricity alone for 32 miles. This is often enough to cover a day’s driving needs. With a total range of 520 miles and 30 combined MPG, the Pacifica PHEV offers the perfect balance of efficiency and versatility. Any shopper near the Superior, Wisconsin, area will appreciate that the Pacifica is also available with all-wheel drive in its Touring L, Limited, and Pinnacle trim levels. This gives you the best of both worlds: extreme cabin space and flexibility with the all-weather traction optimization of an SUV or crossover. New Campaign Celebrates Inspiration from Families Chrysler credits its industry-leading awards and overall success with the Pacifica to its owners' constant intense consumer research, examining how they use their vehicles and what could make the experience better. Chrysler celebrates this research with its new “Thanking Our Parents” advertising campaign, which features three different spots focusing on three different kinds of families. “Boy Mom” highlights the challenges of a mother of four boys under ten. “Empty Nest” shows two parents dropping off their youngest at college and then enjoying the space and features of the Pacifica for themselves. Finally, “Dog Mom” expands the traditional family definition to include pet parents as it observes one young woman keeping her very large St. Bernard happy as they travel. All three spots focus on the theme that Pacifica is observing consumers like these and creating features to accommodate them, which has earned it unequaled industry recognition. Explore the Best Minivan on the Market Crossovers and SUVs may be the choice of many, but you still won’t find a better vehicle to accommodate family living and long road trips than a minivan, and the best one on the market is named “Pacifica.” Come to Benna CDJR and see what impresses the experts so much about the Pacifica. If you buy one, perhaps you can inspire Chrysler Pacifica’s next big idea.

2024 Chrysler Pacifica Front Side View

Chrysler Pacifica Named Best Minivan for Families by U.S. News & World Report

The 2024 Chrysler Pacifica is a minivan that is more than a people carrier. It is a safe, attractive, all-weather, and all-purpose vehicle that helps up to 8 passengers ride easily and comfortably. When Chrysler developed the minivan concept in the 1980s with the Dodge Caravan and Plymouth Voyager, they never stopped reinventing the segment, which is what makes the Pacifica so beloved by journalists and customers. Who Is U.S. News & World Report? U.S. News & World Report is one of the leading publications that ranks everything from the best colleges in America, the best universities around the globe, to the best hospitals, states, cars, and much more. They have been a trusted source since 1948. Every year, they give out their best of awards, and this year, they chose the Chrysler Pacifica as the Best Minivan for their 2024 Best Cars for Families Awards. A Word From U.S. News “The 2024 Best Cars for Families winners offer a number of safety features and a comfortable ride for all passengers, making them ideal for daily commutes or family adventures,” said Liz Opsitnik, Executive Editor, U.S. News. In order to decide the 2024 Best Cars for Families award, U.S. News & World Report looks at their Best Car Rankings, which uses safety data, quality, estimated reliability, passenger and cargo space, plus the overall consensus of automotive journalists. Engine & Mileage The Pacifica is available as either a gas-only or hybrid vehicle. The gas model features a 3.6-liter V6 that produces 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The Pacifica plug-in hybrid has the same 3.6-liter V6 but with 260 horsepower and two electric motors producing 84 horsepower and 114 horsepower. With 520 miles of range, the Pacific hybrid is fast becoming the segment’s favorite minivan. In pure electric mode, the vehicle can go 32 miles before the gas motor kicks in. The Pacifica is also available with all-wheel drive. According to the EPA, the front-wheel drive Pacifica models can get 19 mpg in the city and 28 on the highway. When AWD is equipped, that mileage drops slightly to 15 and 25. However, opting for the plug-in hybrid allows for 82 MPGe and 30 mpg combined between city and highway. For mothers and fathers who need to keep an eye on their children in the backseat, the Pacifica features a FamCam interior camera that gives a view of children in rear-facing child seats. With Stow ‘n Go seating, the Pacifica is never hurting for available space, and the seats won’t get in the way when stowed. Behind the third row of seats, you will find 32.3 cu.ft. of cargo space. Folding the third row opens that up to 87.5 cu.ft., and folding the second row of seats gives owners 140.5 cu.ft. of cargo capacity. The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety has given the 2024 Chrysler Pacifica their coveted Top Safety Pick award. This means that the Pacifica is not only one of the best offerings for families, according to U.S. News & World Report, but is verified as one of the safest family vehicles on the market by the IIHS. At Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, we offer our customers some of the best prices and services. With dozens of new and used vehicles to choose from, our excellent sales team and finance department will work hard to make sure you drive away happy. And our fantastic service department will take care of your new-to-you vehicle as if it were their own.

IIHS Logo

Chrysler Pacifica Is An IIHS Award Winner

We all want the cars we drive to be safe, but the priority of safety rises as we add other people as passengers, and even more so when those passengers are family. Consequently, a high safety rating may resonate a bit stronger on a minivan designed for hauling families than, say, a Dodge Challenger Hellcat. Thus, Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is pleased to inform you that the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica has earned a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). To earn an IIHS Top Safety Pick rating, a vehicle must have the following qualifications: Good rating – the highest possible – in the driver- and passenger-side small overlap front tests and original moderate overlap front test Acceptable or good rating in the updated side test Acceptable or good headlights standard Advanced or Superior rating for daytime vehicle-to-pedestrian front crash prevention Pacifica was ranked “Good” in IIHS tests that simulate three of the most common types of real-world crashes: Driver-side small overlap frontal impact Passenger-side small overlap frontal impact Moderate overlap frontal impact In addition, the Pacifica’s standard Pedestrian Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) received an advanced rating in both daytime and nighttime testing. The 2024 Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid Pinnacle remains the first and only plug-in hybrid in the segment, achieving more than 80 miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe), an all-electric range of more than 30 miles and a total range of more than 500 miles. Chrysler points to the Pacifica’s robust body structure, which features multiple uses of advanced high-strength and ultra-high-strength steel, along with meticulous crumple zone design, contributing to these results. “The Chrysler Pacifica is America’s most awarded minivan for seven years running, and 2023 Chrysler Pacifica stands alone among minivans with its 97 standard-equipment safety and security features and its renowned versatility,” said Chrysler Brand CEO Chris Feuell. “The total package delivers the superior level of driving confidence consumers want and deserve.” In 2020, IIHS revised its rating system to place greater emphasis on AEB and headlight functionality. Because LED provides a balanced beam of light that also minimizes glare for oncoming traffic, the 2023 Pacifica features standard LED headlamps, daytime running lamps, fog lamps, and taillamps. The minivan remains the most versatile and comfortable automotive genre for daily family activities and taking the clan on a cross-country trip. Chrysler created the minivan segment 40 years ago and continues to innovate the category with the Pacifica, adding to that versatility by being the only Minivan to offer both a hybrid drivetrain and, most notably for our area, all-wheel drive in the mix. TAWA Auto Roundup Logo

Stellantis Vehicles, Collect Multiple Awards at 2023 TAWA Auto Roundup

Stellantis brought back several awards from the 2023 annual Texas Automotive Writers Association (TAWA) Auto Roundup. Held in late March at Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, Texas, Benna CDJR is proud to say that the Lone Star scribes showed some love for Dodge, Chrysler, and Alfa Romeo, bringing home a combined seven awards from the event. Ram and Jeep will likely get their turn when trucks are reviewed at the organization’s Texas Truck Rodeo in the fall. Dodge Hornet: Crossover Utility Vehicle of Texas The Dodge Hornet is the newest vehicle introduced across the Stellantis family and takes aim at the very popular compact crossover segment. TAWA took an instant liking to it, giving it the Utility Vehicle (CUV) of Texas title award but also bestowing honors such as Best Value, Best New Interior, and Best New Feature, for a total of four awards. The Best Feature award is for the class-exclusive PowerShot feature, which supplies a burst of 30 horsepower for the electrified Dodge Hornet R/T plug-in hybrid. The R/T has a rear-mounted motor that provides an estimated 30 miles of EV range and a combined 288 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. Dodge Challenger SRT Black Ghost: Performance Vehicle of Texas One of the seven “Last Call” special-edition Challenger and Charger models in their final year of muscle car production, The 807-horsepower Dodge Challenger Black Ghost channels the spirit of a legendary street racer that prowled Detroit’s famed Woodward Avenue in the 1970s. Only 300 of the Black Ghost “Last Call” models will be produced, all in Pitch Black and in Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody form. Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid: Family Vehicle of Texas Probably the least surprising of the awards, the Pacifica took the Family Vehicle of Texas award for the 6th consecutive year. Minivans are known for carrying out commuting and domestic chores during the week and then being the designated vehicle for road trips, which is a perfect scenario for a plug-in hybrid drivetrain. Yet the Pacific remains the only available plug-in hybrid minivan in the country. The Pacifica PHEV provides an estimated 30 EV miles, 80 MPGe, and more than 500 miles total range. For this and other reasons, the Pacifica is also the most awarded minivan over the last six years, with more than 170 honors and industry accolades since its introduction. Alfa Romeo Stelvio: Best Mid-Size CUV For this award, it probably didn’t hurt that votes were decided after the cars were run on the Eagles Canyon Raceway. Because while the Stelvio is a beautiful piece of machinery full of Italian design and elegant detailing, it's the performance that makes it unforgettable. It isn’t just the 280 hp and 306 lb-ft of torque, it is the character of the engine as you put it through its paces, the sublime feel of the steering as it shows its sure-footedness on the curves, and the confidence one feels from the brakes. The Stelvio is a performance thoroughbred, and TAWA recognized just that. We thank TAWA for recognizing the special nature of these Stellantis models. Of course, Benna CDJR is where you can see the all-new Dodge Hornet and Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid up close and experience them on the road. With production limited to just 300, we may not have a Challenger SRT Black Ghost in stock, but you can experience other Challengers, learn more about the Black Ghost, and put yourself in for a pre-order until they are all spoken for.

Keep your Eyes on Precious Cargo with the Pacifica Fam Cam

As a driver, you are expected to keep your eyes on the road. As a parent, you are expected to keep your eyes on your kids.  This has long been a conundrum for parents while driving but the Pacifica Minivan model line found here at Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Superior, Wisconsin, provides the answer. The Fam Cam is found on both the Pacifica and Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid.  You can see it as a black curved disc above the 2nd-row seats, but what is important is how you can see through it.  The Fam Cam control is found in the Vehicles menu on the dash touchscreen.  Activate it to view an onscreen image of everyone in the 2nd and 3rd-row seats.  When you tap on a seat on the digital display, you will get a closeup of that seat on the right side of the display. Better than Eyes in the Back of Your Head The Fam Cam can be useful whenever there are people in the rear of the Pacifica, but it is particularly invaluable when using rear-facing car seats.  These child seats have been proven to be the safest position for babies to ride in a car.  All child seats are required to be installed in the rear seat; most likely a 2nd-row seat for the Pacifica.  This is a result of front seating airbag placement and lack of LATCH attachments.  Normally, with a rear-facing car seat in the 2nd-row, inhibits your view of your child.  With the Fam Cam, due to camera placement, you are provided a perfect view looking directly down on them.  There are settings for daytime, nighttime, and even an infrared setting for when it's pitch dark.  No matter what time of day, you can see everything. Keep an Eye Around the Outside As Well The Fam Cam is accompanied by the 360-degree surround view camera system which allows you to see all around the Pacifica as if you were hovering above it.  That scooter leaned up against the tailgate will be in full view, or you’ll know if you just placed your front passenger next to a mud puddle.  And you will always be able to position the Pacifica perfectly within your parking spot.  With the Pacifica Pinnacle, you’ll have a full view inside and a full view outside. Experience safety and reliability of the new Chrysler Pacifica here at our Benna location in Superior on Tower Ave. Check out the Fam Cam and 360-degree surround view camera for yourself, along with additional amazing Pacifica features. Our Benna Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram inventory is sure to entice the excitement of your next journey and driving experience.  All new and Certified-Pre-Owned vehicles come with our Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram exclusive 20-Year / 200,000-Mile Warranty. Pacifica Makes History With Hybrid Model

Does Anyone Sell a Hybrid Minivan? Whoever said minivans are dead clearly didn’t know what they were talking about, or at the very least, they clearly underestimate Chrysler. SUVs are great and all, but when the Chrysler Pacifica came on the scene, it changed what the world thought of as a family hauler. more As much as the U.S. loves its SUVs, and for good reason, nothing really compares to a well-equipped minivan when it comes to family-friendly driving. And believe it or not, the minivan just got even better, as the Chrysler Pacifica became the first minivan in history to be available with both a gasoline and hybrid powertrain. 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid and Gasoline Powertrain Specs The Pacifica model is great no matter which powertrain you select, so if you’d like to stick with the gasoline engine, you’ll still have a lot to look forward to. This particular model comes with a V6 engine under the hood and is capable of delivering up to 287 horsepower. If you want to go with the gasoline model, the MSRP starts at $37,020. If you want to check out America’s first and only plug-in hybrid minivan, however, you’ll be in for one unique experience. This model contains that same V6 engine while adding an electric motor to make it hybrid. The big difference comes from that electric motor, which allows the hybrid model to achieve an estimated fuel economy of 82 MPGe. In addition, the Pacifica Hybrid boasts a driving range of more than 500 miles on a single tank of gas. The starting MSRP for the hybrid model is $50,495. Whether you go with the fully gasoline-powered model or the hybrid model, you certainly can’t go wrong with the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica.
