The 2025 Jeep Wrangler is one of the most popular vehicles ever produced, even though it has really only been in production since 1986. People expect that it’s been around forever, however, it is a direct continuation of the Jeep CJ and the Willys Jeep before it. The 2025 gas-powered Wrangler lineup consists of seven trims: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara (four-door only), Rubicon, Rubicon X, and Rubicon 392 (four-door only).

What makes the 2025 Wrangler such an icon?

Performance

Buyers can choose between three different ICE engines (and a hybrid option, covered separately) in the latest Wrangler that include:

• 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 engine: 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque
• 3.6-liter V-6: 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque
• 6.4-liter V-8 Hemi: 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque

An available factory-installed 8,000-pound Warn winch makes its way on to Rubicon models, plus the addition of a 100:1 crawl ratio and a Dana 44 HD full-float solid rear axle. With a max towing capacity of 5,000 pounds and the ease of adding larger tires, the Wrangler Rubicon has never been more capable of tackling all of life’s off-road adventures.

The 2025 Rubicon X brings 35-inch tires, built-in off-road camera, steel bumpers, and is available as a two- or four-door with either the 2.0-liter or 3.6-liter engines.

Exterior

The exterior of the 2025 Wrangler features its trademark seven-slot grille, plus a stealth antenna that won’t be getting hung up on anything when driving off-road, and the latest Sky One-Touch Power-Top.

While all Wrangler models have the option of a soft or hardtop in black or body color, the Sky One-Touch Power-Top is optional on all models above the Sport. The Sky One-Touch Power-Top allows you to open the roof like a giant sunroof all the way back to the cargo area. The edges of the roof are a hardtop, while the center is a soft top. Best of all: the doors and rear windows can still be removed, allowing for the open-cabin style that many Wrangler owners love.

While there are new wheel designs, the standard wheels are 17 inches on nearly all models, except for Sahara, which gets 18s. Stock tire sizes range from 32 inches up to 35-inch tires. There’s a new military olive drab-inspired exterior paint color called ‘41.

Interior

Buyers will love the latest interior touches that are both standard and available for 2025 Wrangler models. Rubicon X models receive acoustic front glass with thicker carpets and additional sound deadening foam in the B-pillars, front cowl, and windshield header. This will give all passengers a quieter driving and riding experience.

The instrument panel offers soft-touch fabric or polyurethane surfaces that feature contrast accent stitching. For those looking to mount a camera or phone, the dashboard offers AMPS bracket mountability. Power locks and power windows are now standard on all Wrangler models. Available Active Cabin Ventilation allows customers to better pre-ventilate the cabin via mobile app before entering.

Technology

For 2025, Wrangler models get the 12.3-inch touchscreen display featuring the award-winning Uconnect 5. The latest updated system runs five times faster than before and can get over-the-air (OTA) updates that bring new features and services.

The Uconnect 5 system offers: Trails Offroad, five user profiles plus a valet mode (that allow owners to customize a plethora of preferences), Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a customizable home screen (for easier access to your most-used apps and features), Bluetooth connectivity to two phones at the same time, Alexa Home to Car functionality, the Uconnect mobile app, SiriusXM 360L, TomTom navigation, OTA map updates, and a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot that can connect up to eight devices at the same time.

All occupants will be happy with the ability to charge their devices while in the Wrangler. There are dual USB-C ports up front with up to seven USB-A and USB-C ports throughout the vehicle, plus a 12-volt outlet and 115-volt AC outlet. This allows you to plug in three-pronged plugs for laptops or what have you.

Safety and Driver Assistance

The 2025 Wrangler offers the availability of more than 85 advanced safety and security features that include Forward Collision Warning, advanced cruise control with stop-and-go, Blind-Spot and cross-path detection, ParkSense rear park-assist, ParkView rear backup camera with dynamic grid lines, traction and electronic stability control (ESC) with electronic roll mitigation, and more.
