2025 Dodge Charger

2025 Dodge Charger - Front Side View Under the Stands

The 2025 Dodge Charger is all-new and features electric power to assist in making the first-ever electric muscle car and possibly the first EV that will inspire the next generation of performance car enthusiasts. The R/T and Scat Pack models will feature a host of technology and performance firsts, including a patent-pending exhaust system and aerodynamics.

While the Camaro is no more, and the Mustang is doubling down on V8s and turbo-4s, Dodge is looking to innovate and stay ahead of the sports car curve with a battery pack in place of an internal combustion engine. But don’t worry, the Charger that everyone has come to love and appreciate as a performance bargain will still offer a lot of car for the money, including significant power and torque outputs from the Charger SIXPACK with a twin-turbocharged inline-6 Hurricane engine.

The new Charger also qualifies for a $7,500 tax credit plus $600 towards either an at-home Level 2 charger or Free2Move charge credits.

Performance

Performance in the 2025 Dodge Charger

The 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack model features all-wheel drive with a pair of motors that are attached to the front and rear wheels and produce 335 horsepower each, equaling 670 horsepower and around 627 lb-ft of torque. Even though the new Charger Daytona has all-wheel drive, a Line Lock feature still allows you to do big, smoky burnouts, plus Launch Control for optimal 0-60 and ¼-mile launches. It is estimated that the new Daytona Scat Pack will be able to boogie to 60 in just 3.3 seconds.

Assisting the Charger Daytona is a 100.5 kWh battery pack specifically designed and engineered to be simply about performance. With a sustained power output of 500 kW going to the electric motors, the Charge is even faster through the ¼-mile at only 11.5 seconds.

The R/T line brings on the first of the three available V-8s with the 5.7-liter HEMI® producing 360 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. Power is fed through the same 8-speed automatic, but 4x4 models get a two-speed transfer case for more off-road dexterity. Both the suspension and steering get performance tuning. This engine also includes cylinder-deactivation, which saves fuel by running on just four cylinders during low-load situations (like sustained highway cruising), but instantly and seamlessly activates all cylinders when more power is demanded.

In R/T trim, the Charger Daytona will have 496 horsepower and 317 miles of driving range, while the Scat Pack will have 260 miles of driving range.

Dodge Charger Daytona EV models will also have unique drive modes, which include Drag, Track, Drift, and Donut. Drift mode allows drivers to choose between three different slip angles, with torque being biased to the rear axle, and the front axle will maintain the slip angle. Donut mode will allow the Charger to spin only the rear wheels without the traction control trying to limit you.

2025 Daytona models will feature an all-new, patent-pending exhaust system called the Fratzonic Chambered exhaust system. This system will incorporate two passive radiators that will create Hellcat levels of sound. However, you can use Stealth Mode to avoid exhaust sound entirely when you want or need to.

The 2025 Scat Pack comes exclusively with Race Prep, which warms the battery system for optimal short-term drag racing performance. In track racing, the battery works to stay cooler when getting onto the track, which helps to increase energy efficiency for driving on racetracks. Race prep pages feature information on the battery level, thermal level, and the time remaining for the battery to be ready for racing.

For those buyers who still want the muscle car sound to go along with the looks, the Charger SIXPACK will have you covered. Dodge is powering the SIXPACK with either the High Output (H.O.) or Standard Output (S.O.) Hurricane twin-turbo inline-6. The H.O. Charger coupe will have 550 horsepower, while the S.O. model will have 450 horsepower and be a four-door sedan. The 2025 Dodge Charger SIXPACK will be available sometime between the summer and fall of 2025. Like its electric siblings, the SIXPACK will feature standard all-wheel drive for ultimate all-weather control.

Exterior

2025 Dodge Charger Exterior Body Style

As a widebody design, the wheels on the new Charger Daytona Scat Pack are pushed out right to the edge of the vehicle’s fenders, allowing for 305/35ZR20XL wheels up front and 325/35ZR20 wheels in the rear. Special Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires will help the new Charger hold onto the road.

For 2025, the Daytona R/T will come standard with 18-inch wheels, while the Scat Pack will have 21-inch wheels. Both models have fully independent suspension, and an optional Track Pack adds adaptive dampers. Both cars will have Brembo brakes with 16.1-inch rotors.

A Charger-exclusive and patent-pending R-Wing is a new design for a front wing/splitter that uses the classic Challenger and Charger profile with aerodynamics in mind. This will help keep the front of the car planted at higher speeds while also directing air in any way the engineers and designers have deemed necessary for performance.

Interior

2025 Dodge Charger - Interior Seating and Cabin Detail

To help set both the R/T and Scat Pack apart on the inside, they will have different seating surfaces and screen sizes. The R/T will feature a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster, whereas the Scat Pack will have a 16-inch screen. However, the R/T can be optioned with the larger screen. Both cars will have a 12.3-inch center infotainment display. A premium 18-speaker Alpine system and an augmented reality head-up display will be available to project a large field of view with virtual image distance.

Seats in the latest Charger will be offered in black or demonic red with either Nappa leather-trimmed or a suede/Nappa leather combination. The seats will feature a fixed headrest with adjustable thigh bolsters for extra support.

Regarding cargo, Car and Driver could fit four suitcases behind the third row, which it noted was greater than the GMC Acadia. The editors also found they could fit 30 carry-on suitcases in the 85.1 cubic foot cargo space when all seats were folded flat.

Customizable interior lighting, called Attitude Adjustment Lighting, uses 270 degrees of lighting throughout the cabin to create an open and bright area. There are 64 different colors to choose from. The lighting reacts to various events, such as opening the doors, starting the car, or changing drive modes.

The trunk area of the new Charger is actually a hidden hatch that opens to make it easier to load items into the trunk. The rear seats can also be folded to open up the space of the cabin for luggage, pets, or what have you. Folding the rear seats flat creates 38.5 cu.ft. of total cargo space.

Technology

The standard Uconnect 5 12.3-inch infotainment display will be featured on both Charger R/T and Scat Pack models. The R/T model will have a customizable 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster, and the Scat Pack will have a customizable 16-inch display. With these new screens, customers will be able to switch between driving modes, turn on the Drive Experience Recorder, or view Vehicle Performance Pages.

The Drive Experience Recorder features a forward-facing 1080p 60 frame per second (fps) camera with an in-camera microphone that can record audio from inside the vehicle. The car will synchronize audio, video, and live vehicle data for you. The touchscreen display can also play back the recorded videos, and you can even transfer the footage using a flash drive or hard drive plugged into the USB port.

Vehicle Performance Pages show g-forces, battery charge state, status, as well as propulsion and power flow of the Charger. Selectable driving modes include Track Mode, Donut Mode, Sport Mode, Drag Mode, and Drift Mode. Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa are all standard.
