Jeep Wrangler vs. Jeep Gladiator: Which Fits Your Lifestyle?

If you're looking for an adventure-ready vehicle, two of the most popular options are the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator. Both offer legendary Jeep capability, removable tops and doors, and impressive off-road performance. However, they serve different types of drivers. So, you may be asking - Which Jeep is right for my lifestyle? In this guide, we'll compare the Wrangler and Gladiator to help you determine which vehicle best fits your daily driving needs, outdoor adventures, work requirements, and budget. What Do the Wrangler and Gladiator Have in Common? Before looking at the differences, it's important to understand what these vehicles share. Both models offer: Available four-wheel drive systems Exceptional off-road capability Removable doors and roof panels Rugged styling Trail-ready engineering Available advanced technology and safety features If your goal is adventure, either Jeep can deliver. Is the Jeep Wrangler Right for You? The Jeep Wrangler is right for you if... You Want the Ultimate Off-Road Experience The Jeep Wrangler has long been recognized as one of the most capable off-road vehicles in the Jeep lineup. The Wrangler offers a variety of available 4x4 systems, impressive ground clearance, available locking differentials, and specialized off-road features designed to help drivers tackle challenging terrain. Compared to the Gladiator, the Wrangler has a shorter wheelbase, making it easier to maneuver on tight trails and around obstacles, which is one reason it remains a favorite among off-road enthusiasts. Whether you're exploring forest trails, navigating rocky terrain, or heading out for a weekend camping trip, the Wrangler is built to inspire adventure. Models like the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon are specifically engineered for serious off-road performance, offering features such as heavy-duty axles, electronic sway bar disconnect, and off-road tires that help drivers confidently take on demanding conditions. From weekend adventures in the backcountry to gatherings with fellow Jeep owners, the Wrangler offers more than just transportation - it provides an opportunity to be part of a culture centered around exploration, freedom, and adventure. You Spend Most of Your Time Driving Around Town For drivers who spend most of their time commuting, running errands, or navigating busy city streets, the Jeep Wrangler offers a more compact and agile design than the Jeep Gladiator. Because the Wrangler does not have a pickup truck bed, it has a shorter overall length, making it easier to fit into parking spaces and navigate tight urban environments. While the Gladiator remains a comfortable daily driver, the Wrangler is generally the better choice for those who prioritize easy maneuverability, parking convenience, and a vehicle that feels at home both on city streets and off the beaten path. You Want Open-Air Freedom Many buyers choose the Wrangler because of its iconic open-air driving experience. The Jeep Wrangler offers a variety of open-air configurations, allowing drivers to customize their experience based on the season and their sense of adventure. Available roof options include soft tops, hardtops, and the Sky One-Touch® Power Top, which can open at the push of a button on select models. The Jeep Wrangler also features removable doors and a fold-down windshield, creating a unique connection to the outdoors that few vehicles can match. Whether you're cruising along scenic backroads, heading to the lake, or exploring a trail on a warm summer day, the Wrangler's open-air design helps make every drive feel like an adventure. For drivers who value freedom, fresh air, and the ability to fully embrace the journey, the Wrangler stands out as one of the most distinctive vehicles on the road. Is the Jeep Gladiator Right for You? The Jeep Gladiator is right for you if... You Need a Truck Bed One of the biggest differences between the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator is cargo flexibility. While the Wrangler offers a versatile cargo area inside the vehicle, the Gladiator adds the utility of a five-foot steel truck bed. The Jeep Gladiator's truck bed is designed to handle a wide variety of tasks. Whether you're transporting tools and equipment to a job site, picking up lumber and supplies for a home improvement project, or loading up camping gear for a weekend getaway, the open bed provides added convenience and versatility. Outdoor enthusiasts can easily bring along bikes, kayaks, fishing gear, or other recreational equipment without sacrificing passenger space inside the cabin. The Jeep Gladiator also offers available cargo management features that help drivers organize and secure their gear. Combined with its rugged capability and pickup-truck practicality, the Gladiator is an excellent option for buyers who want the adventure-ready spirit of a Jeep with the everyday usefulness of a truck. You Tow Frequently If towing capability is an important part of your lifestyle, the Jeep Gladiator may be the better fit. The Gladiator offers a Best-in-Class maximum gas towing capacity of up to 7,700 pounds when properly equipped, making it one of the most capable midsize trucks available for towing. Whether you're towing a camper, utility trailer, boat, or recreational equipment, the Gladiator is engineered to help handle demanding towing tasks with confidence. Its available towing features and truck-focused design make it a practical choice for drivers who regularly haul gear for work, recreation, or outdoor adventures. You Want More Passenger Space While both the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator offer comfortable seating, the Gladiator's longer wheelbase can provide a more spacious feel for rear-seat passengers. This can be especially beneficial for families, drivers who frequently travel with friends, or anyone who spends a lot of time on the road with a full cabin. Whether you're heading out on a road trip, taking the family camping, or simply commuting with multiple passengers, the Gladiator offers a practical balance of comfort and capability. For buyers who want a vehicle that can comfortably accommodate both passengers and gear, the Gladiator's spacious design is a significant advantage. Jeep Wrangler vs. Jeep Gladiator: Quick Comparison Choose the Jeep Wrangler if you: Prioritize off-road performance Want a shorter, easier-to-park vehicle Love open-air driving experiences Want to be part of the iconic Jeep culture Need more safety features Spend most of your time commuting or adventuring Prefer a traditional SUV design Choose the Jeep Gladiator if you: Need a truck bed for cargo Tow trailers or recreational equipment Want greater utility and versatility Need space for work gear and outdoor equipment Like the idea of combining Jeep capability with pickup-truck practicality Need more passenger space Love open-air driving and prefer a truck Final Thoughts: Which Jeep is right for your lifestyle? The right choice ultimately depends on how you plan to use your vehicle. If tackling trails, enjoying open-air freedom, and navigating daily drives with ease are your top priorities, the Jeep Wrangler is an excellent option. For drivers who need strong towing performance, the practicality of a pickup bed, and versatile cargo solutions while still enjoying Jeep's renowned capability, the Jeep Gladiator stands out as a great choice. Both vehicles deliver the rugged performance, distinctive styling, and adventure-ready spirit that Jeep is known for. The best way to decide is to experience them in person and determine which one better matches your lifestyle. Chrysler Unveils Pacifica FAV Edition

Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (CDJR) is pleased to announce that the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica lineup will include a new Family Adventure Vehicle (FAV). The Pacifica FAV adds utility and style to the already robust Pacifica minivan package. The Chrysler Pacifica has already proven to be the best-selling minivan in the U.S. It boasts the best-in-class standard overall cargo volume and is the only plug-in hybrid minivan in the industry. The latter is also the fourth-best-selling plug-in hybrid in the country. Having debuted at the 2024 Los Angeles Auto Show, the Pacifica FAV Edition bolsters that class-leading cargo space with a Thule rooftop cargo carrier, adding 16 cubic feet of volume. This makes the model for large families traveling with all three rows of seats being used or smaller families not interested in traveling light. Of course, it is also ideal for camping and the perfect location for tents, sleeping bags, and other outdoor equipment. The Thule cargo carrier is mounted on a set of black Mopar roof rails, which are also included in the package. The roof rails are complemented by a blacked-out grille, black side mirrors, front and rear valance, and bespoke black 18-inch Foreshadow wheels. All-weather floor mats and a large cargo mat enhance interior utility by guarding against rain, mud, snow, spills, and more. A Uconnect 5 infotainment system with an onboard navigation system and a premium 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system enhance interior technology (Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid FAV features a 20-speaker system). The FAV is Built from the Select Pacifica trim, which already features: Standard second- and third-row Stow ‘n Go seating (Plug-in Hybrid has third-row Stow ‘n Go) Adaptive cruise control Lane Departure Warning, Blind-spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path detection Rear Park Assist Auto-dimming rearview mirror Second-row one-touch windows Universal garage door opener “No matter the adventure, whether it’s a cross-country vacation, a local outing for a picnic or road trip for a soccer or hockey tournament, the Chrysler Pacifica FAV Edition helps families load up for fun with best-in-class standard overall cargo volume combined with sporty appearance and additional unique content and road trip-ready accessories,” said Chris Feuell, Chrysler Brand CEO. “The Chrysler Pacifica FAV joins the recent return of the Chrysler Voyager in building up the Chrysler minivan lineup and really giving our families and customers the power to choose the vehicle that most closely fits their lifestyles.” The Pacifica FAV will be available with both conventional and plug-in hybrid drivetrains and exterior color choices of Diamond Black, Red Hot, and Bright White. The starting MSRP for the non-electrified model will be $45,345. The Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid FAV has a starting MSRP of $53,950. The Pacifica FAV models can be expected to arrive at the Benna CDJR inventory in the first quarter of 2025. They may already be available by the time you read this. If not, contact one of our Benna CDJR sales professionals and ask them to notify you when the first models arrive.

The Jeep® brand is charging into the electrified SUV segment with the reveal of its first global battery-electric vehicle (BEV) – the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S Launch Edition. The all-new, all-electric 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S will launch first in the U.S. and Canada and later in markets around the world. Available in Jeep brand dealerships starting in the fall of 2024, the Wagoneer S Launch Edition has a starting U.S. MSRP of $71,995 (including destination, excluding EV credits).

Wagoneer S and 1500 Ramcharger Among Newsweek's Most Anticipated Vehicles for 2025

If you pay attention to the automotive industry, very few models emerge on the market as a surprise. Manufacturers show vehicles at auto shows at least several months prior to being available and often announce the models months, if not years, before that. So we hear about the models, sometimes see them in spy photos, and finally see them at auto shows, but we still must wait a season or two before they are available to the public. This leads to several models being anticipated. Newsweek acknowledges this with an annual list of the most anticipated vehicles. Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (CDJR) is happy to see two CDJR vehicles on their list for 2025. These are the Wagoneer S and the 1500 Ramcharger. Jeep Wagoneer S The Jeep Wagoneer S will be the brand’s first-ever battery-electric vehicle (BEV). The model was expected for late 2024, but Jeep had some fine-tuning to ensure the model would be as perfectly executed as possible. Though it shares the Wagoneer’s name, it is quite a different vehicle. To start, it is smaller, with two-row seating instead of three.  The exterior is also quite different, being lower with a more angled rear and black pillars between the side windows for a long, unbroken dark appearance leading to a more radically angled d-pillar. Elegant wind tunnel sculpting is evident from front to rear. The Wagoneer will be powered by a pair of electric motors, one up front and one between the rear wheels, for standard all-wheel drive. The two motors will have a combined horsepower of 600 with 617 lb-ft of torque available when the motor starts turning. 0-60 acceleration is expected in 4.4 seconds, and if you don’t do such acceleration runs all the time, the range is expected to be 300 miles from the 100.5nlithium-ion battery. With a 400-volt electric architecture, direct-DC charging is expected to go from 20 to 80 percent in 23 minutes. With day-to-day recommended Level 2 charging, the battery should charge from 5 to 80% in about seven hours. Looking inside reveals what will be the most technically advanced Jeep to date. Across the horizontal dash will be a combined 45 inches of usable screen space, customizable LED lighting, and an available 19-speaker McIntosh audio system. This will also be the first Jeep model with electronic door releases. A Jeep Wagoneer S Launch Edition will be the first model available and is expected to be fully loaded. It will have an MSRP of $71,995, including the destination charge. Other Wagoneer S models are expected to follow. 1500 Ramcharger Building off of what many consider the best pickup truck line in the U.S., the Ram Charger is essentially a battery-electric truck with a range-extending gas-powered generator. You could call it a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), but it doesn’t tell the whole story. While most PHEVs offer an EV-only range of about 30-45 miles, the Ramcharger’s 92 kWh battery will have an expected 145 miles of EV-only power with a total expected range of 690 miles when the gas engine is involved. This means that the Ramcharger will basically be an emission-free EV for essentially all day-to-day driving, while extended trips will be free of recharging worries. If you do want to recharge on the road, the 1500 Ramcharger is unlike most PHEVs in that its 400-volt system will work with DC fast charging stations to add 50 miles of EV range in just 10 minutes. The electric motors combine to produce 663 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle is expected to have a tow rating of up to 14,000 pounds. The onboard 3.6-liter Pentastar engine will operate as a generator for the electric motors. The Ramcharger will appear from all angles as a Ram 1500 with different lighting and subtle aerodynamic enhancements. Both models will be available to consumers in the 2025 calendar year. If Newsweek is highly anticipating the availability of these models, imagine how much Benna CDJR can’t wait to start offering them. If you want to be the first to check out either of these exciting new models, ask one of our sales professionals to notify you when the first models arrive.

What’s New For 2025 With The Dodge Durango

There is certainly no shortage of crossovers and SUVs on the market. In fact, the Jeep brand here at Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (CDJR) consists entirely of crossovers and SUVs plus the Gladiator pickup. There are also plenty of 3-row crossovers from which to choose. However, if you are a muscle car fan looking for a powerful SUV, you look to THE muscle car brand, Dodge, and most specifically, the Dodge Durango. Dodge bolsters that reputation with the changes to the 2025 Durango, which is the subject of this Benna CDJR blog. The Durango enters the 2025 model year with GT, R/T, and SRT Hellcat trim levels, each with its own bespoke engine. Several special edition models will also be available, including the Durango R/T 20 th Anniversary and three special-edition versions of the Durango SRT Hellcat. Two Powertrains and One Monster The GT is the entry into the model line. It has the award-winning 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine, rated at up to 295 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. In RWD form, the Durango has an EPA estimated city/highway/combined mpg of 18 / 25 / 20. With all-wheel drive, the mpg is estimated at 17 / 24 / 20. One step up is the Durango R/T, which comes standard with a 5.7-liter HEMI producing a best-in-class 360 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine features cylinder deactivation, which seamlessly alternates between smooth, high fuel economy, four-cylinder mode, and V-8 mode when more power is needed. The 8-speed automatic is also matched to this engine, and both RWD and AWD versions have the same EPA mpg estimates of 14 / 22 / 17. Finally, there is the SRT Hellcat. Those familiar with Dodge or even just performance car nomenclature know that SRT Hellcat means this trim is powered by a 6.2-liter HEMI Hellcat V-8 engine. In this state of tune, it produces 710 horsepower and 645 lb.-ft. of torque. That is enough to move this 3-row SUV from 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds and go on to reach the quarter mile in an NHRA-certified 11.5 seconds. It also has a top speed of 180 mpg. This is more than just a big V8 with a supercharger. High-performance features of this engine include: A dedicated cooling circuit for the charge air coolers integrated into the supercharger housing, including a pump, coolant reservoir, and heat exchanger, designed to keep air flowing into the engine cooler than 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Twin-screw rotors in the supercharger are set close to minimize air leakage and ensure maximum performance. An integrated electronic bypass valve regulates boost pressure to a maximum of 11.6 psi (80 kPa). The 2.38-liter supercharger has a drive ratio of 2.36:1 and a maximum speed of 14,600 rpm. A cast-iron engine block with water jackets between the cylinders for optimal cooling Forged-steel crankshaft with induction-hardened bearing surfaces Specially tuned crankshaft damper burst tested to 13,000 pm High-strength, forged-alloy pistons Powder-forged connecting rods with high-load-capacity bushings and diamond-like, carbon-coated piston pins Piston-cooling oil jets Heat-treated aluminum-alloy cylinder heads Sodium-cooled exhaust valves, hollow-stem intake valves, and steel-alloy heads that stand up to temperatures as high as 1,652 degrees Fahrenheit (900 degrees Celsius) Cold-air scoop in the lower front fascia helps feed the supercharger and the Hellcat engine’s 92-mm throttle body. Exhaust system tuned to deliver a throaty Dodge DNA sound TorqueFlite 8HP95 eight-speed automatic transmission includes steering-wheel-mounted paddles for manual-style shifting and has seven available Drive modes – Auto, Sport, Track, Snow, Tow, Eco, and Valet. Muscular Styling Outside, the Durango wears its performance focus with distinctly muscular styling derived partly from the recent Charger model. The forward-leaning profile includes Dodge DNA design cues on the front, including slim LED low/high headlamps, LED daytime running lamp (DRL) signatures, an iconic crosshair, and a grille. Down the side is muscular surfacing, a rear spoiler, and a variety of wheel options. The dash is clearly driver-centered, with a center stack angled 6 degrees toward the driver. The 10.1-inch touchscreen is powered by the critically acclaimed Stellantis Uconnect 5 operating system with Durango-specific graphics. The SRT Hellcat features exclusive performance-themed graphics. 2025 Special Editions There will be four Durango Special Editions for 2025: R/T 20th Anniversary – Honoring 20 years of bringing back the HEMI engine, this special edition model includes: Black HEMI hood graphic “345” fender badging with Brass Monkey accents 20-by-10-inch Y-spoke forged lightweight Brass Monkey wheels SRT seats featuring distinctive Tupelo bronze-like stitching accents and “345” embroidered on seatbacks Black exterior badging The tow N Go package adds performance-tuned steering, adaptive damping suspension, Brembo brakes, active exhaust, and an 8,700 lb. towing capacity. New Dodge Charger Daytona Debuts at Roadkill Nights

The latest all-electric Dodge Charger Daytona debuted to the public at the 2024 MotorTrend Presents Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge during the world-famous Woodward Dream Cruise. The Daytona Scat Pack can rip the pavement into submission on its way to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds. The History of the Woodward Dream Cruise With its roots dating back to 1848, the Woodward Dream Cruise has always occurred on the legendary Woodward Avenue that spans from Ferndale to Pontiac, Michigan. Even though there weren’t cars back in the mid-1800s, there were buggies and carriages that people used to race along the wide streets, which saw even more widespread racing action starting in 1958. These days, old and new Dodge cars and trucks street race for money and bragging rights. A Special EV Exhaust System As the next generation of the Charger, the Scat Pack and R/T will have a unique and proprietary Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust system that will give the Charger EV a glorious and unmistakable sound that can make anyone worried about a muscle car with an electric motor sold on the way of the future. Engine Options This is obviously the first time the Dodge Charger has ever been electrified. However, multiple engines will power the new car, including the 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-6 Hurricane High Output engine called the Sixpack H.O., which will develop 550 horsepower, or a Standard Output (S.O.) version of the Hurricane, which will produce 420 horsepower. All models will be built in the Windsor, Ontario, assembly plant. Special Driving Modes Scat Pack models will receive various modes, allowing owners to customize their driving experience on the fly. A Drift mode will enable drivers to change between three different slip angles: a Donut mode, Line Lock, Launch Control, and Race Prep. Race Prep is meant for drag or track racing and pre-warms the battery to give optimal performance for a period of time. Owners will also be able to use Performance Pages to access information with lap timers, g-meters, various gauges, and power information. At Krusen Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, we offer our customers some of the best prices and services around. 2024 Grand Wagoneer (left) and 2024 Wagoneer

New England Motor Press Association Names Grand Wagoneer as Best Premium Full-Size SUV

Spend any time in the deep woods of New England, with winters that anyone from the Superior, Wisconsin area will find familiar, and you will know why Jeeps are a staple. Thus, Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (CDJR) is pleased to announce that the New England Motor Press Association (NEMPA) has named the Jeep Grand Wagoneer the Best Premium Full-size SUV for the second year in a row. The New England Motor Press Association was founded in 1987. Since then, it has coordinated professional media coverage and created content covering the auto industry specifically for the 14.5 million vehicle buyers living in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. NEMPA's media members appear in national and regional print, radio, TV, and online outlets and have a strong social media presence. From November through March, NEMPA journalists test the latest vehicles in New England's harsh winter weather. At a Spring annual event at the NEMPA headquarters in Middleborough, Massachusetts, the New England automotive journalists that make up the NEMPA membership gather and select winners in multiple vehicle categories. One of the biggest of those categories, in all senses of the word, is the Premium Full-Size SUV category. “For the second year in a row, the Jeep Grand Wagoneer outperformed its peers during winter testing with a spacious, high-quality interior, clever use of displays and a smooth air suspension,” said Clifford Atiyeh, President, NEMPA. “While we miss the HEMI ® V-8, the new turbo Hurricane inline-six is even more powerful and purposeful in this flagship Jeep.” Mr. Atiya refers to the new Hurricane Twin Turbo I-6 engine, which produces 510 horsepower and 500 lb.-ft. of torque. It is the standard engine for the entire Grand Wagoneer lineup. "The Jeep Grand Wagoneer embodies both capability and luxury," said Bill Peffer, Senior Vice President and Head of Jeep Brand North America. " Its advanced four-wheel-drive systems, cutting-edge technology and premium cabin come together to create a unique driving experience. We're especially grateful for the recognition from the New England Motor Press Association members, as it reinforces the Grand Wagoneer's ability to excel in even the harshest winter conditions." We may be the full set of Great Lakes away from New England, but as mentioned, the conditions can be strikingly similar. Visit Benna CDJR to experience the large, powerful, capable, comfortable, remarkably luxurious, and award-winning Grand Wagoneer for yourself.

Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe EV Range

How Far Can a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Run On EV Power?

The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe works on two types of energy sources: Gasoline and electricity. Using the 4xe’s rechargeable battery pack, your Grand Cherokee can run an estimated 25 miles on a full charge. The turbocharged gasoline engine is not used at all; it is just pure electric propulsion, including instant torque. Running on battery power makes sense when coming to the Twin Ports area. Even if you’re detouring away from the Blatnik Bridge construction, you can still go from Superior to the Duluth Airport without using one drop of fuel. The actual battery range can vary by weather and climate. Cars.com recently tested the Grand Cherokee 4xe during a “mild winter day” and got 21.9 miles of range out of the battery. It is true that colder temperatures could affect battery range. The same is said about hot days, too. When your battery pack runs down to almost empty, the 4xe system switches to the turbocharged gasoline engine. You may have a few drops of electrons left, and some more could be recoverable through regenerative braking. There may be occasions when you start off using the electric motor and then switch to the gasoline engine without any interruption. The switch between the two power sources is very seamless. Recharging is easy. It can take up to a Level 2 charge either at home or at a public charging station. You can install a Level 2 charger for your home. A wall-mounted Free2Move or Jeep brand charger is available through Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. You could also get a wall-mounted charger from another source. There are plenty of electricians in the Twin Ports area who can assist you in installing your own home charger. If you’re looking for a charging station, Jeep has you covered. You will find them in downtown Duluth and on the campus of the University of Minnesota-Duluth. The Jeep website, as well as other apps, can assist you in finding a spot to charge up the Grand Cherokee 4xe when you are away from home. Of course, you can take your Grand Cherokee 4xe off-road. Your battery pack is protected from water up to 24 inches of wading depth. If you are ready to join the plug-in hybrid revolution, contact us at Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to experience the Grand Cherokee 4xe’s ability to run on gasoline or electricity.

Motor Trend Argues That Driving a Jeep Wagoneer is Better Than Flying

We often think that the best way to travel is by air, even if it’s down to the Twin Cities from Duluth Airport. However, Motor Trend argues that it may not be the best way to fly to your destination. Their suggestion? A Jeep Wagoneer. The Motor Trend team decided to take a road trip between Los Angeles and San Francisco to prove this. That is about a 383-mile one-way trip between California’s two major cities. The writer and their family were just about to fly between the two cities – citing ticket costs, long lines at the TSA, and overpriced airport food – when the idea was to simply take a Wagoneer to make the trip instead. Think of this test in terms of our usual long-distance driving. The Twin Cities is only 153 miles from the Twin Ports. An equivalent trip to the one Motor Trend took would be to Milwaukee – 392 miles away. You can simply make the trip by settling into the Wagoneer’s three rows of seats and large cargo area to take more than the airline’s standard baggage allowance. You will love how quiet it is inside, so the kids can either nap or play with their devices. Some Wagoneer models can be equipped with UConnect Theater – our “in-flight entertainment” system. In-flight snacks? Every row of seating has access to a multitude of cup holders. Since you’re on your own schedule, a stop at a gas station means you can get anything you want – not just peanuts and pretzels. Every Wagoneer and Wagoneer L is powered by a 420-horsepower 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged Hurricane six-cylinder engine. It only takes one press of the pedal for a smooth takeoff. Of course, every landing is equally smooth with the Wagoneer’s powerful braking system. A 26.5-gallon fuel tank also means a longer distance while paying less for fuel than an airline ticket. A Wagoneer with four-wheel drive can average up to 23 MPG – an estimated range of up to 609 miles. There is no need to fuel up between the Twin Ports and Milwaukee. While the Motor Trend people set up their tailgate at Oracle Park in San Francisco, you can do the same in your Wagoneer at American Family Field. You’ll be so comfortable that you may end up listening to Bob Uecker calling the game instead on your UConnect 5 infotainment system. The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Is One Minivan To Love

When the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid first debuted in 2017, there were plenty of doubters. Could a plug-in hybrid work with families on the go? Years later, that answer is “yes.” After all, it is the first plug-in hybrid minivan sold in America. This was confirmed by Inside EV, where they claimed how much they love this combination of electric and gasoline power that is rechargeable. The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid works on two types of energy sources: Gasoline and electricity. The Pacifica’s rechargeable battery pack can run an estimated 32 miles on a full charge. The V6 gasoline engine is not used at all. Just pure electric propulsion, including instant torque. Running on battery power makes sense when you’re commuting in the Twin Ports area, getting groceries, or doing some shopping around town. It even makes sense when you're taking the kids to sports practice or music lessons without using one drop of fuel. Inside EV also found that there is one way you can drive without using gasoline. On the e-shifter knob, turn it into the L position, and it will put the electric motor into a maximum regeneration mode. When your battery pack runs down to almost empty, the hybrid system switches to the V6 gasoline engine. A wall-mounted Free2Move is available through Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. You could also get a wall-mounted charger from another source. There are plenty of electricians in the Twin Ports area who can assist you in installing your own home charger. If you’re looking for a charging station, Jeep has you covered. You can find them in downtown Duluth and on the campus of the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Other apps can assist in finding a spot to charge the Pacifica Hybrid when you are away from home. If you want a minivan that can run on both gasoline and electricity, contact us at Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to experience the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid today!

2024 Jeep® Wagoneer S Charging Port Close-Up Plugged In

Introducing the All-new, All-electric 2024 Jeep® Wagoneer S

Jeep has introduced the Wagoneer S as its first battery-electric vehicle (BEV), which is expected to go on sale in the latter half of summer 2024. Though this is the brand’s first BEV, it builds on the experience of having the best-selling plug-in hybrid (PHEV) in the U.S. for the past three years with the Wrangler 4xe. Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is excited about the arrival of this beautiful and high-performing addition to the Jeep model line. The Wagoneer S is a distinct departure from the existing Wagoneer models, boasting a unique platform, exterior and interior design, and, of course, a completely different drivetrain. Yet, it retains the hallmark luxury, refinement, and capability synonymous with the Wagoneer name, promising a thrilling and luxurious driving experience. Electrifying Drivetrain The Wagoneer S's motors combine to deliver a staggering 600 horsepower and 617 lb-ft of torque. To put that into perspective, the Grand Wagoneer L produces 510 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. But what truly sets the Wagoneer S apart is the instantaneous power of its electric motors, with that 617 lb-ft fully available the moment the engine starts turning. This translates into a heart-pounding 0-60 time of 3.4 seconds, a level of acceleration once the exclusive domain of exotic sports cars. The Wagoneer S is estimated to have an impressive operating range of over 300 miles. Thanks to its efficient 400-volt architecture, the 100 kWh battery pack can charge from 20 - 80% in a mere 23 minutes on a fast DC charger, ensuring that you spend more time on the road and less time waiting for your vehicle to charge. “The launch of the all-electric Jeep Wagoneer S marks a new chapter in the storied history of the Jeep brand,” said Antonio Filosa, Jeep Brand CEO. “Building upon nearly a century of innovation and design, this first global EV will introduce a whole new generation of owners to an experience that is distinctly Jeep and 100% electric in every way. With new energy in the Jeep vehicle lineup, ranging from EV to V-8, customers have never had more freedom to choose their own adventure.” Smooth, Silent and Capable All Wagoneer S models will feature four-wheel drive using Stellantis-designed electric drive modules (EDMs), which independently power the front and rear wheels. These 3-in-1 EDMs combine the electric motor, gearing, and power electronics into a single, compact unit. Each EDM is managed by the Jeep brand-exclusive Selec-Terrain traction management system, which features five distinct driving modes: Auto, Sport, Eco, Snow, and Sand. All drivetrain adjustments are made with electronic precision. To help optimize highway range, the front EDM is equipped with wheel disconnects to enable the wheels to spin freely. With no pistons, valves, or any other reciprocating parts, electric motors are inherently smooth and quiet. Jeep designers capitalized on that with a body as smooth as the drivetrain. Aerodynamic surfacing is evident by the precise slope and curvature of the hood and windshield, both angled for optimal performance and efficiency at high speeds. A sloping roofline cascades beneath a cantilevered rear spoiler, bridging function and aesthetics with its signature Wagoneer silhouette. The roof and rear spoiler are angled to reduce wake size, flush door handles minimize air disruption along the sides, and several underbody shields and spats control airflow away from tires to minimize drag. The result is a coefficient of drag (CD) of 0.29, which is the lowest CD ever for a Jeep vehicle and approximately 15% better than the average SUV. No longer needed for engine cooling, the iconic seven-slot grille is now a lighting element that greets you when you approach the front of the vehicle. Launch Edition Comes First The first Wagoneer S to arrive at dealers will be the fully equipped Launch Edition, and every Launch Edition model purchase will include a 48-amp Level 2 home charger. For those for whom installing a home charger is impractical, there is an alternative choice of charging credits through the Free2move Charge ecosystem. The dash is a work of art, incorporating 45 inches of screen space in the Launch Edition. It starts with the driver’s configurable digital gauge cluster. It moves to a large 12.3-inch center touchscreen, with a subsequent display below for climate controls and an interactive display for the front passenger. Unbeatable McIntosh Audio System Another star of the Launch Edition that will undoubtedly carry over to subsequent Wagoneer S trims is the spectacular McIntosh signature audio system. McIntosh has the respect of Audiophiles around the world. This 1,200-watt, 19-speaker system, including a 12-inch subwoofer, combined with the Wagoneer S’ silent running, delivers precisely the high-performance system audio one expects from McIntosh. Technology naturally expands to safety, and the Launch Edition is fitted with Active Driving Assist, Intersection Collision Assist, Drowsy Driver Detection, Traffic Sign Recognition, and a Surround View camera, all of which can be expected to be standard or available on subsequent models. Coming to Benna The Wagoneer S is a groundbreaking Jeep model that is sure to change many drivers' perceptions of electric vehicles. Make sure you experience the Wagoneer S for yourself. It may be in the Benna CDJR inventory by the time you read this. If not, contact one of our sales professionals and have them inform you when the first models arrive.

2024 Wagoneer Front View

Jeep Wagoneer vs Chevrolet Tahoe

The Jeep Wagoneer dates back to 1962, long before the term SUV existed, and it continued largely unchanged for 30 years. The market for such a vehicle was very small back then, and the Wagoneer found itself a niche market of Field & Stream subscribers and people who visited their country homes on the weekend. After it was gone, Jeep resurrected the Wagoneer name briefly a couple of times, but it wasn’t until 2022 that Jeep brought the Wagoneer back to fill its original category as a full-size three-row SUV. In terms of sales and name recognition, its biggest competitor is the Chevrolet Tahoe, which first appeared just a few years after the original Wagoneer left. In this post from Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, we compare the 2024 Wagoneer to the Tahoe. Wagoneer vs Grand Wagoneer Jeep created a little confusion when it introduced both the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. The Grand Wagoneer is on a whole different level in terms of luxury and is meant to compete against luxury-brand models, but its size is identical. However, there are longer versions of both models called the Wagoneer L and Grand Wagoneer L, which are Suburban-sized. The Tahoe is simply a shorter version of the Suburban. Big News Smaller Engine Hood The biggest news for the 2024 Wagoneer is that its 5.7-liter V-8 has been replaced by the new Hurricane 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-6, the sole engine across the model line. The Hurricane significantly out-powers the V-8 with 420 horsepower and 486 lb-ft of torque. It also outpowers Tahoe’s standard 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft 5.3-liter V-8. Adding insult to industry, it also outpowers the Tahoe’s optional 6.2-liter V-8, which produces an identical 420 horsepower but falls short in torque with just 460 lb-ft. Conversely, the Tahoe’s available 3.0-liter turbodiesel bests the Hurricane with 495 lb-ft of torque but has significantly less horsepower. When comparing standard engines, the power differences are apparent in acceleration, with the Wagoneer showing 0-60 mph in 6.3 seconds compared to 7.5 for the Tahoe. It also makes itself known in towing capacity, which is up to 10,000 pounds for the Wagoneer compared to 7,800 lb for the standard-engined Tahoe, rising to 8,400 lb. with the optional diesel engine. The Wagoneer is also a little less thirsty with an EPA estimated city/highway/combined mpg rating of 16/19/23 for a 4WD mode versus 15/20/17 for the 5.3-liter V-8 4WD Tahoe. Combined with a larger fuel tank, this results in an estimated range of 610 miles in the Jeep versus 480 for the Chevy. However, the Tahoe’s optional turbo diesel takes the efficiency crown with 20/26/22. Of course, diesel is also 11% more expensive than regular gasoline on average in Wisconsin. You wouldn’t select either of these models for a run on the Rubicon Trail, but for the occasional excursion off-pavement and our abundant snow, 4WD is a $3,000 option for both models. If you need a two-speed transfer case, it is standard with 4WD on the Tahoe but comes to the Wagoneer via a Heavy-Duty Trailer-Tow Package that contributes to its large towing capacity mentioned above. The Great Indoors Both models specialize in vast interiors, with a seating capacity of eight, or seven if one opts for 2nd-row captain’s chairs. Adults will be perfectly fine in the 3rd row, though the Wagoneer’s 3rd-row legroom of 36.6 inches is 1.7 inches over the 3rd row in the Tahoe. With all the seat backs up, the Waggoner's 27 cubic feet of cargo space is one cubed foot over the Tahoe’s. That turns around when you start folding seats, and when turned into 2-seaters, the Tahoe has 123 cubic feet compared to 117 for the Wagoneer. The Wagoneer shares its dashboard layout with the Grand Wagoneer, while the Tahoe shares its with the Silverado pickup truck. The result is a decidedly more luxurious dashboard in the Jeep. The Wagoneer has a higher starting MSRP, which is close to the Tahoe LT, and one upgrade from the base LS. As such, both moth models are similarly equipped. Both have 10-inch touchscreens, onboard navigation systems, wireless smartphone compatibility, leather seating, and power adjustments for the driver and front passenger. There are trade-offs. For example, ventilated front seats are standard on the Wagoneer but need another upgrade for the Tahoe. While the base Wagoneer has a 10-speaker audio system, the Tahoe LT has a Bose ® -branded 9-speaker system. Of course, both models have trim hierarchies that add more features as you go. But overall, you will still get a better drivetrain and nicer interior with the Wagoneer. Visit Benna CDJR for a Wagoneer test drive and see if you don’t agree.
