Ram Introduces Rebel Havoc and Lunar Editions

Ram introduces the limited-run Ram 1500 Rebel Lunar and Havoc Editions. Previous use of both names has been limited to the big, bad 1500 TRX, but these two editions are built from the Rebel trim.  Because of their limited run, the Rebel Havoc or Lunar Editions may not appear in the Benna CDJR inventory but can be ordered. Exteriors that Get Noticed Color separates the Havoc from the Lunar trim. The Havoc features an attention-grabbing Baja Yellow exterior, while the Lunar has a menacing Ceramic Gray.   Graphics and trim are identical on both, which includes bold, black "Rebel" graphics on the hood and rear fenders, black badging, bumper, and an all-black grille. The Rebel  Hemi V-8 Option is Standard Behind the black-on-black grille is a 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 producing 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with an eight-speed transmission. The Havoc and Lunar editions ride on the Rebel’s 1-inch raised ride height, with 18-inch gloss black 6-spoke wheels wearing 33-inch LT275/70R18E OWL All-Terrain tires. Also included is the new-for-2023 Selec-Speed Control, which allows the truck to maintain consistent speed while traversing variations in slope. Using both engine torque and brake pressure to help keep a consistent pace, allows the driver to focus on steering on rough terrain. Standard Level 2 Equipment Package Inside, the Havoc and Lunar Editions come standard with the Rebel Level 2 equipment package, key features of which, on top of the extensive Level 1 group features like a 12.0-Inch touchscreen display, smartphone compatibility, 8-way power driver’s seat, and much more, Level 2 includes: 19-Speaker Harman Kardon ® Premium Sound system Heated front seats and steering wheel Front Door Passive Entry and Lock ParkSense ® Front and Rear Park-Assist with Stop Rain-Sensitive Windshield Wipers Rear Under-Seat Storage Compartment Remote-Start System Security Alarm Equipped with everything mentioned above, the Rebel Havoc and Lunar Editions have a starting MSRP of $72,205.  As mentioned, both the Rebel Havoc and Lunar Editions have limited availability and may not appear in our inventory. Jeep Wrangler Willys

2024 Jeep Wrangler Brings More Models and More Capability

The Jeep Wrangler is the world’s most recognized vehicle in the world as well as the most off-road capable. Benna CDJR is proud to tell you that for the 2024 model year, Jeep will add new technology, new models, and even more capability. All the changes stay true to the Wrangler heritage of delivering the freedom to go anywhere and do anything. Overall, the Jeep model line features a new treatment to the front end and its famous 7-slot grille. The front fascia now ends above the bumper with black textured slots and gray metal bezels on most models with trim-level variations. There are also ten new wheel designs. Changes are even bigger inside with a revised upper dash featuring a 12.3-inch touchscreen powered by the Uconnect 5 operating system, which includes standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Newly available within the Uconnect system are Trails Offroad comprehensive off-road trail guides for the 62 Jeep Badge of Honor trails. An upgradable subscription provides access to the full catalog of 3,000-plus Trails Offroad trail guides Willys The 2024 Willys model increases its capability with a standard Tru-Lok rear locker, steel rock rails, 33-inch tires, and the Selec-Trac full-time transfer case with a 4LO ratio of 2.72:1. Also new is a trailer tow and heavy-duty electrical group. Rubicon The Rubicon now features a 100:1 crawl ratio. And if that isn’t enough to get you through your rock crawling, there is now an available factory-installed Warn winch with an 8,000 lb. capacity that is mounted in a new steel bumper with removable end caps. The Rubicon also features Jeep’s first full-float Dana rear axle. This consists of a wheel hub assembly that is separate from the axle shaft, with a spindle bolted to the axle tube that supports the wheel hub via a pair of wheel bearings. Thus, the weight of the vehicle is transferred to the axle tube rather than the axle shaft itself so the latter is no longer subjected to torsional loads allowing its sole function to be transmitting power to the wheel hub. This new axle enables a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds on Rubicon non-hybrid models. The Rubicon X is added to the model line featuring a Rock-Trac full-time transfer case, integrated off-road camera, steel bumpers, and the Xtreme 35 Package with beadlock-capable wheels and 35-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires. The 470-horsepower Wrangler Rubicon 392 will also feature the Extreme 35 Package. High Altitude The High Altitude model has more standard features, including the Sky One-Touch powertop, 12-way power & heated front seats, integrated front camera, and Selec-Trac full-time transfer case. 20-inch wheels and body-color bumpers also set the High Altitude apart from the rest of the model lineup. 4XE The Jeep Wrangler 4XE is America’s best-selling plug-in hybrid. With two electric motors, a 400-volt 17-kWh battery pack, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, and TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission, it produces a combined 375 horsepower, 470 lb.-ft. of torque, and 21 EV-only miles. For 2024, Wrangler introduces a more affordable Sport S 4xe model. The 2024 Wrangler 4XE also now offers the Jeep 4XE Power Box, featuring four 120-volt outlets with 30 amps of total output, to allow the battery pack to power external devices for camping or power tools. The Rubicon X is now also available with the 4XE drivetrain, though without the Extreme 35 Package. Overall, the Jeep continues to find more ways to give people what they have always wanted in a Wrangler: Uncompromised freedom and capability. If you are interested in the 2024 Wrangler, contact Benna CDJR and ask for them to contact you when they start arriving later this year.

Ram 1500 EV Concept

Thinking of Everything to Build a Truck Unlike Anything

Looking to raise the standard in the electric pickup market is the concept of the 2024 Ram EV Pickup. What is an EV vehicle? An EV or an Electric Vehicle is a car that is powered by an electric motor and a rechargeable battery rather than a traditional gasoline or diesel engine. It produces no emissions and is environmentally friendly. Ram has always been ahead of the curve, building some of the most iconic trucks. We are excited here at Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM to be announcing some of the incredible technological advances that have put this new vehicle at the top of the EV pickup list. Dreaming Big and Pushing Boundaries With all the competition out there, Ram is gearing to surpass the competition in range, towing, payload, charge time, and innovative technology that is about to change the game. RAM's EV pickup concept is set to debut in 2024 and boasts impressive specs and features that set it apart from other EV pickups on the market. Ram's “Shadow mode” is a remarkable new feature that uses sensors and cameras to follow drivers as they walk ahead of the vehicle at a safe distance, avoiding obstacles along the way. Also, there will be a new charger with smart technology that allows this charger to detect when the vehicle is near. This robot can detect not only the presence of vehicles but also its charging needs. It will then automatically move into position and align itself under the vehicle. More Amazing Benefits One of the biggest concerns for EV drivers is range anxiety or the fear of running out of battery power while on the road. RAM's EV pickup concept addresses this concern with an impressive range of over 500 miles on a single charge. This range is thanks to the vehicle's advanced battery technology and efficient electric motor. Another feature that is unique is that it does not sacrifice power for efficiency. This vehicle boasts impressive performance with a 0-60 mph time of just over 4 seconds and a top speed of 125 mph. The vehicle's electric motor delivers instant torque for quick acceleration and responsive handling. Pickup trucks are known for their towing and payload capabilities, and RAM's EV pickup concept is no exception. This vehicle has a towing capacity of up to 11,000 pounds and a payload capacity of up to 2,000 pounds. These capabilities make the RAM EV pickup concept a versatile vehicle that can handle both work and play. The Future is Electric RAM's 2024 EV pickup concept is poised to surpass the competition in the EV pickup market thanks to its impressive range, powerful performance, robust towing and payload capacity, innovative features, sustainable materials, and competitive pricing. The design team was told to dream big and push boundaries, and after seeing the visuals of this new EV, you can see they have followed through on the design. The new Ram EV pickup is so sleek, sporty, and still has that bruty feel that Ram enthusiast love. This vehicle represents the future of pickup trucks and sets a new standard for efficiency, performance, and sustainability.

2024 DODGE CHARGER ELECTRIC CONCEPT VEHICLE SIDE VIEW

Kick it Up with the 2024 Dodge Charger

While the gasoline-powered production of the 2023 Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger are coming to a close, Dodge still lusts after making high horsepower pony and muscle cars. This time, for 2024, they have shown off the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT electric concept car. We still have to learn a lot about the upcoming electric-only Charger, but what we do know should excite the masses. Dodge has said the trim levels so far will be the 340, 440, and the SRT Banshee. Banshee… don’t they always come up with the coolest names? The numbers indicate how much horsepower the car will have in kilowatts. Horsepower is said to be 455 for the 340 kW and 590 for the 440 kW trim. For reference, 100 horsepower equals 74.57kW, or 100kW equals 134 horsepower. The SRT Banshee will ride on an 800-volt, all-wheel drive platform. We aren’t sure of the power ratings yet, but I can imagine Dodge will make an immense amount of power that will make everyone giggle like schoolchildren. The concept car shown is the SRT Banshee trim level. Going Back To Their Roots While we aren’t sure how many doors the Charger will eventually have, the concept car shows off an incredibly retro style 2-door modeled very closely after the 1969 and ‘70 model years. The Charger was always a coupe, but when Dodge brought it back out in 2006 for its sixth generation, it debuted sporting four doors. Modern Solutions Dodge is patenting three different features that are on the Daytona SRT concept car. EV Dodge Charger will feature a multi-speed transmission that aids an electric vehicle in having more range and better performance when traveling at faster speeds. Dodge calls their system the eRupt, which also has a unique shifting feel, unlike any EV before it. They say it will feel more like a “normal” transmission when it shifts. A multi-speed gearbox is also used in the Porsche Taycan for similar reasons, however, without the shifting experience which Dodge says is pure Dodge. The R-Wing is a front wing/splitter that has the classic Challenger and Charger profile with aerodynamics in mind. This will aid in keeping the front of the car planted at fast speeds while also directing air in any way the engineers and designers have deemed necessary for performance. The third and final feature is potentially their most interesting: the Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust, which is a first on an electric vehicle. Dodge say the new EV Charger will have an exhaust sound that rivals the current gas-powered Hellcat’s supercharged 6.2-liter V8. This Isn’t The End While I am sure we are all sad to see the wonderful pony and muscle cars with monstrous V8s ride off into the sunset, there is a whole new level of excitement and enthusiasm building around the seemingly boundless ideas and performance of modern Electric Vehicles. And, the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona SRT shows us that there is a lot coming down the road ahead for the enthusiast who loves power and speed.
