Chrysler 300, Ram 1500 Named To True Cost List

There is now a way to measure this. An organization called We Predict created the Deepview True Cost report. This is the first report of its kind to measure service and warranty costs from actual service records.
Based on this report, the Chrysler 300 and the Ram 1500 did very well in this report. In fact, they were awarded the top spots in their respective segments by We Predict.
What do they measure
The Deepview True Cost measures money spent by owners and manufacturers of 2021 model-year vehicles after three months on the road. It reveals which brands and models across 21 segments have the lowest service costs.
We Predict applies predictive analytics to the most comprehensive industry-wide service database available. When we combine these forces, we can forecast vehicle and component failures far earlier than manufacturers can today. This organization enables automakers, suppliers, and other automotive companies with the data they need to reduce warranty costs, identify problems earlier, free up cash and improve customer satisfaction.
We Predict created the Deepview True Cost awards to provide a glimpse of the power contained in our industry-wide database. The Deepview True Cost will rank 2021 vehicles by the actual dollars spent on service by customers and manufacturers in the first three months of ownership.

“Drive For Design” Winners Announced
Remember the days you were in school and decided that doodling your dream car was better than taking notes.
One day those drawings would become works of art – or, rather, a design for a new vehicle.
Every year since 2013, Stellantis North America’s design team puts on a contest called Drive For Design. This contest encourages young talented students to pursue careers in automotive design. There is also an educational component to help guide these future designers towards that direction in the automotive industry.
This year’s challenge was to design an electrified Jeep of the future within a 10-week timeframe. Entries across the country were compiled, reviewed, and judged by members of the Stellantis North America design team.
This years winners
The three student winners of the 2021 Drive for Design competition are:
First place – Vincent Piaskowski, 12th grade, Michigan
Second place – Rocco Morales, 10th grade, Michigan
Third place – Alex Wang, 12th grade, California
This year’s prizes include one-on-one mentoring time with leading designers at the Stellantis Design Studios in Auburn Hills, Michigan, a scholarship to attend College for Creative Studies virtual summer design program and more. The College for Creative Studies is based in Detroit and has many esteemed alumni, including the Head of Design for Stellantis, Ralph Gilles.
Here in the Twin Ports, our local schools encourages their students to dream big. Through arts programs and information technology-based studies, the path towards automotive design and engineering could be made easier with simple encouragement.

Did you know that Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters is a Ram truck and van fan?
The nicest guy in Rock N’ Roll is now featured in Ram’s “Spotlight” campaign, which reinforces the values of our truck brand. These videos shine a light on families, family caregivers, coaches, teachers, and all those who remind us that they are built to serve, even in the most challenging times.
The two videos, “Rock Star” and “Overtime” are narrated by Grohl, followed by a third video called “Best Part.” The spots will be accompanied by the Foo Fighters’ song, “Making A Fire,” the opening track of their hot selling 10th album, “Medicine at Midnight.” These videos will run on television, and Ram’s official YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter channels.
This campaign coincides with two new projects directed by Grohl. One is “What Drives Us,” a feature film documentary that is dedicated to every musician who has “ever jumped in an old van with their friends and left it all behind for the simple reward of playing music.”
The other project by Grohl features his mother, Virginia Hanlon Grohl. It is based on her acclaimed book, “From Cradle To Stage.” This is an unscripted television series that features the story of mother and son and their journey from the punk clubs of Washington, DC through Nirvana and the Foo Fighters.
Here’s a bit of trivia: Grohl not only owns a Ram 1500 pickup truck; he also owns a Dodge Ram Van. In fact, that van served as the Foo Fighters first vehicle to go between gigs as they were signing their first record deal.

Twin Cities Auto Show Features Five New Jeep Models
This year’s Twin Cities Auto Show is much different than of the 47 previous versions of it. It is outdoors at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in St. Paul!
What will you see when you get there?
Jeep has pulled out all of the stops, showing off the 2022 Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, 2021 Grand Cherokee L, the 2021 Wrangler Rubicon 392 and 4xe.
Next Generation of Jeep
This is the first auto show to display these five new Jeep vehicles together. You will have the opportunity to see and feel the absolute luxury of the Grand Wagoneer. Nearby is the Wagoneer, a bold statement on legendary capability and practicality in a large SUV. The Grand Cherokee L greets you at the corner of the Jeep display, with its new third row of seating and bold design.
On either side of the new Grand Cherokee L are two new takes of the legendary Wrangler. The Rubicon 392 sits on top of the rocks making a statement about absolute power to tackle rough terrain in Northern Wisconsin and Minnesota. The Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid adds battery power for a more efficient way to scope out the Boundary Waters.
All of these are set to arrive at Superior Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in the coming months!
Ram, Dodge, and Chrysler are also displayed at the Twin Cities Auto Show. There is a red Ram 1500 TRX under the tent and a green Ram Heavy Duty Power Wagon keep sentry over the exhibit.

Is Your Vehicle Ready For Summer?
Are you ready to hit the road this Summer? Is your car, truck or SUV ready for that road trip up along the North Shore, into the Upper Peninsula or down to the Twin Cities? Superior Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram wants to make sure your car is ready for the summer ahead. We have a few things for you to look at before hitting the road.
Is My Car on Recall? This has been a situation that has been in the forefront of the news. Sometime during the run-up to summer, your car may have been recalled. There is a way to check to see if it has been on recall, by going to the Mopar website at https://www.mopar.com/en-us/my-vehicle/recalls/faqs.html. All you need is your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to plug in to find out. Superior Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram’s service department will assist in making sure the Recall work is done per the manufacturer’s obligation.
Check the Tires!
Where the rubber meets the road is the most critical part to look at before heading on a trip. Make sure to check the air pressure of each tire to match the requirements of your vehicle. That information should be found inside of the driver’s door frame. Make sure the spare is also properly inflated. Check for tread wear, including any excessive or irregular wear. If you find that the tread is down to 1/16 of an inch, replace those tires! Plus, see about an alignment if you find that the tires are not wearing properly. If it’s time to replace your tires, or it’s been more than two years since you had an alignment on your vehicle, schedule your appointment with our service department today.
How About Those Other Rubber-Made Parts?
Rubber contracts and expands all year round. This is the time to inspect the belts, hoses and wiper blades for blisters, cracks or cuts. If there are any problems, replace them! Make sure the hose connections are secure, as well!
Get Plenty of Fluids!
In our climate, it is critical to make sure that the cooling system has more than enough fluid inside of the reservoir. No one wants to overheat when the temperatures are high. Also, check the oil, automatic transmission, brake, power steering and windshield washer fluid levels. They might need to be topped off, too!
Are the Lights OK?
See if all of the lights work – front, back and all the way around. If not, it is time for a bulb replacement and/or a fuse check.
Stay Cool!
Now is the time to check the air conditioning unit. If it is working, you are fine. If not, have it checked out to make sure it is working properly. In our climate, running cool is the best way to go!
