The J.D. Power Initial Quality Study is one of the most important indicators on how well our vehicles hold up within the first year of ownership.

Our work has paid off! It is great news to learn that the Ram and Dodge brands ranked in first and second place in this year’s Initial Quality Study.

Ram has become the first truck-only brand to achieve the top spot in this important and esteemed survey. In addition, the Ram 2500/3500 Heavy Duty pickup trucks ranked first in its segment by J.D. Power. The Ram 1500 also scored very well in its segment.

2021 Ram 1500 TRX Blue Desert Jumping

While we are in the middle of an enjoyable summer here in the Twin Ports area, we will be soon turning our attention to winter.

Actually, that reminder came from the media members of the New England Motor Press Association. They announced the winners of a series of awards based on winter driving and evaluation. These winners may come as no surprise for us up here in the Twin Ports.

NEMPA named the Ram 1500 TRX their Official Winter Truck of New England. The TRX was joined by the Chrysler Pacifica as best-in-class among People Movers and the Jeep Gladiator in their Mid-Size Pickup truck class.

Today, we celebrate 80 years of Jeep. We celebrate the past, present, and future of the iconic brand that is a favorite here in the Twin Ports.

It all began in 1941, when the U.S. War Department – now known as the Department of Defense – finalized the contract for a reconnaissance vehicle that was small, versatile, and agile. That contract was shared with a company called Willys-Overland. They had never built a vehicle that could take on rugged terrains and battlefields before. However, their proposal to build such a vehicle was approved.

The biggest news coming from this year’s Chicago Auto Show is the updated 2022 Jeep Compass. One of the world’s most popular Jeep models will become the most connected and technically advanced vehicle in its lineup. 

The first thing you will notice is an all-new interior for the 2022 Compass. It is now more modern in design and spacious than in the current model. The new interior will feature a new 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 center stack display, adding the newest version of our infotainment system along with expanded connectivity options. Some models will get a new available 10.25-inch frameless full-color thin-film transistor digital cluster with customization available for the driver on the information they need. Plus, the Compass will see the availability of heated rear seats available for the first time.

2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Xtreme Recon Package Gray rocks

This summer’s Chicago Auto Show welcomed the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with its new Xtreme Recon package. This new package offers 35-inch tires straight from the factory, further improving approach angle, departure angle, ground clearance and water fording capability.

This new package also includes an industry-first 100:1 crawl ratio from the factory. This will enable off-road adventurers maximum capability when you have to get through an impassable obstacle.

2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L truckload Detroit Assembly Mack Avenue

The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L has arrived at Superior Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram soon. The first vehicles just rolled off the new Detroit Assembly Complex on Mack Avenue – a location where many of the legendary MOPAR vehicles were assembled.

This is the first assembly plant to open in the city of Detroit in thirty years. This endeavor took $1.6 billion to convert two engine plants and add a new paint shop to create the most modern assembly complex in North America.
