First Responder Inspired Limited Edition Trucks Move into Second Phase
Three RAM 1500 pickup trucks get new models to honor first-responder services. RAM is in the second phase of the ‘Built to Serve’ trucks, available this year.

RAM 1500 Honors Firefighter, Police Officers, and Emergency Medical Service Providers
You can soon own first-responder-inspired RAM 1500 trucks. Already in production, the firefighter RAM 1500 is first up at the Michigan Assembly Plant.
All EMT services will have RAM select two unique low-volume exterior color palettes. RAM wants to evoke the vibe, mission, and history of each service.
You can get the firefighter-inspired RAM 1500 in Redline and Diamond Black exterior. Both colors come with black interior and orange stitching accents.
Each ‘Built to Serve’ RAM 1500 truck offers distinct interior and exterior features, and each detail separates one from the other.
RAM Exterior ‘Built to Serve’ Pickup Trucks
Additional exterior cues on the RAM ‘Built to Serve’ 1500 pickup trucks include:
- An all-black grille and surround
- Black bumpers
- Black-bezel premium lighting
- 20-inch aluminum wheels with a unique Technical Gray finish
- Body-color wheel flares with accent
- Black badges
- Black wheel-to-wheel side steps
- Dual four-inch black exhaust tips
RAM Interior ‘Built to Serve’ Pickup Trucks
The RAM 1500 ‘Built to Serve’ pickup trucks add unique stitching accents that match the first responders. RAM models’ interior display EMT pride with ‘Built to Serve’ embroidered Velcro panels and front seats. There are additional Velcro panels on the seat inboard shoulder panel.
The front seat-back panels are coated with a Pouch Attachment Ladder. Seats include System/Modular Lightweight Load-bearing Equipment (PALS/MOLLE.) The webbing affixes extra equipment or pouches.
You can customize your truck with patches, flags, names, tapes, or slogans. RAM wants first responders to personalize the pickup trucks’ built to serve. Each truck includes a United States flag and a ‘Built to Serve’ decal on the rear quarter panels.
RAM 1500 ‘Built to Serve’ Limited Edition Features
Every model is different from the other first responder truck. The RAM 1500 ‘Built to Serve’ is a limited edition truck that provides the following features:
- ‘Built to Serve’ instrument panel badge
- Lockable console storage (optional)
- Deeply bolstered performance cloth and vinyl Sport seats
- Black Onyx Chrome interior trim
- All-weather rubber slush mats
- Ram 1500 Built to Serve models are loaded with 4×4 Off-Road Group content, including:
- All-terrain tires
- Electronic-locking rear axle
- Hill-descent control
- Front suspension skid plate
- Steering gear skid plate
- Fuel tank skid plate
- Transfer case skid plate
- Tow hooks
- Heavy-duty off-road-calibrated front and rear shock absorbers
- Packages for Built to Serve editions are available on Big Horn models. You can add the package to all body styles and all powertrains.
