What is (RED)? It is an organization that was set up to help fight global health emergencies. Co-founded by the frontman of the band U2, Bono, it focused on the global fight against the AIDS epidemic 15 years ago. Lately, it has turned its attention to fight the COVID-19 virus and all of its variants worldwide. (RED) has partnered with many brands to create products that help spur on these battles.
Stellantis is the latest partner with (RED). Through Jeep and Ram, they are part of a multi-year partnership to help raise at least $4 million of proceeds towards the causes that (RED) represents.
How Red is (RED)
The first two products that will raise awareness for these causes are the 2022 Ram 1500 Limited (RAM)RED and 2022 (Jeep)RED Compass edition.
The 2022 Ram 1500 Limited (RAM)RED is based on the Ram 1500 Limited Night edition. However, the 2022 (Jeep)RED Compass edition will be available globally and will be joined by a Renegade version.
Each brand has a supporting message that goes along with these special edition models. For Jeep, it is the “The (RED) Mission” that supports the message for us to #StayOffTheRoad. It is to ask Jeep’s owners and enthusiasts to give up their off-road freedom that signifies the brand to help keep ourselves safe towards eliminating these health crises from our society.
