The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L was just the beginning. It was just the introduction of a new generation of the most awarded and celebrated SUV in automotive history.
Now, it will be joined by an all-new two-row 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. This new generation model adds much more to this new architecture. There is now more capability with the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and all-new electrified performance from the Grand Cherokee 4xe.
Trail Rated
The one thing that will make the 2022 Grand Cherokee stand out is how truly capable it is. You have a choice of three 4×4 systems – Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II. Add the class-exclusive Jeep Quadra-Lift™ to the mix. This air suspension is now available with electronic semi-active damping, delivering up to class-leading 11.3 inches of ground clearance and 24 inches of water fording.
You can now equip your 2022 Grand Cherokee with the class-exclusive sway-bar disconnect, similar to one on the Wrangler Rubicon. This added feature delivers improved articulation and traction over rocks and rough terrain. In addition, the Selec-Terrain system offers five available terrain modes: Auto, Sport, Rock, Snow, Mud/Sand. These modes provide optimized settings for any given driving situation anywhere across Northern Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Off-road capability is also matched by on-road performance and capacity. The 2022 Grand Cherokee can tow up to 7,200 pounds when equipped with the powerful 5.7-liter HEMI V8.
Interior
Stepping inside the 2022 Grand Cherokee provides you with a technological treat. The Uconnect 5 infotainment system is available with a 10.1-inch touch display, offering a five-times-faster operating speed over the previous generation Uconnect system. This new system also includes over-the-air updates. In addition, an exclusive 10.25-inch front passenger interactive display is available, along with a 10.1-inch rear-seat entertainment display. You can use it with the built-in Amazon Fire TV for a wide spectrum of content to keep your passengers entertained.
Electrtic Power
Last, but not least, the new 2022 Grand Cherokee will offer the electrified Trailhawk 4xe. This capable plug-in hybrid SUV combines an estimated 25 miles of all-electric “Zero Emission Freedom” and 57 MPGe with Grand Cherokee Trailhawk’s legendary 4×4 capability. In fact, the all-new Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4xe was tested on the Rubicon Trail and did so under all-electric power using electric mode.
