The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX has already garnered a lot of attention from enthusiasts and the entire world. It has already won Motor Trend’s Truck of The Year award.
Now, FOUR WHEELER magazine just named the Ram 1500 TRX their 2021 Pickup Truck of The Year.
Over the course of a week, FOUR WHEELER’s judges conducted a variety of tests spanning more than 1,000 miles of varied terrain that included pavement, gravel, dirt, sand, rocks, mud and snow. A loose-dirt hill climb and water crossings were included in testing as well. Night driving was also integrated into the competition to gauge each vehicle’s lighting equipment. Judges included staff from various 4×4 media brands, including FOUR WHEELER, 4-WHEEL & OFF-ROAD, and JP MAGAZINE.
Hellcat All Things
The Ram 1500 TRX is powered by a 702-horsepower supercharged Hellcat HEMI V8, this off-road pickup truck is the fastest one on any terrain. This truck does not stop with just the Hellcat engine. The frame was beefed up to not only handle this kind of power, but the new suspension set up to keep all that power down on all terrain conditions.
This powerful and extremely capable pickup truck is distinguished by its aggressive hood scoop, flowthrough “RAM” lettering on the grille, and raised overall height. The ground clearance of 11.8 inches is augmented with a 13-inch front suspension travel and a 14-inch rear suspension travel. All of which are designed to absorb everything from rocks to ruts to the roads of the Twin Ports. Plus, there are eight drive modes to choose from – including Snow, Rock, and Mud and Sand – all will be useful here in Northern Wisconsin and up in the Iron Range.
