Chrysler Unveils Pacifica FAV Edition
Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (CDJR) is pleased to announce that the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica lineup will include a new Family Adventure Vehicle (FAV). The Pacifica FAV adds utility and style to the already robust Pacifica minivan package.
The Chrysler Pacifica has already proven to be the best-selling minivan in the U.S. It boasts the best-in-class standard overall cargo volume and is the only plug-in hybrid minivan in the industry. The latter is also the fourth-best-selling plug-in hybrid in the country.
Having debuted at the 2024 Los Angeles Auto Show, the Pacifica FAV Edition bolsters that class-leading cargo space with a Thule rooftop cargo carrier, adding 16 cubic feet of volume. This makes the model for large families traveling with all three rows of seats being used or smaller families not interested in traveling light. Of course, it is also ideal for camping and the perfect location for tents, sleeping bags, and other outdoor equipment.
The Thule cargo carrier is mounted on a set of black Mopar roof rails, which are also included in the package. The roof rails are complemented by a blacked-out grille, black side mirrors, front and rear valance, and bespoke black 18-inch Foreshadow wheels.
All-weather floor mats and a large cargo mat enhance interior utility by guarding against rain, mud, snow, spills, and more. A Uconnect 5 infotainment system with an onboard navigation system and a premium 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system enhance interior technology (Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid FAV features a 20-speaker system).

The Pacifica FAV will be available with both conventional and plug-in hybrid drivetrains and exterior color choices of Diamond Black, Red Hot, and Bright White. The starting MSRP for the non-electrified model will be $45,345. The Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid FAV has a starting MSRP of $53,950.

If you pay attention to the automotive industry, very few models emerge on the market as a surprise. Manufacturers show vehicles at auto shows at least several months prior to being available and often announce the models months, if not years, before that. So we hear about the models, sometimes see them in spy photos, and finally see them at auto shows, but we still must wait a season or two before they are available to the public. This leads to several models being anticipated. Newsweek acknowledges this with an annual list of the most anticipated vehicles. Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (CDJR) is happy to see two CDJR vehicles on their list for 2025. These are the Wagoneer S and the 1500 Ramcharger.
Jeep Wagoneer S
The Jeep Wagoneer S will be the brand’s first-ever battery-electric vehicle (BEV). The model was expected for late 2024, but Jeep had some fine-tuning to ensure the model would be as perfectly executed as possible. Though it shares the Wagoneer’s name, it is quite a different vehicle. To start, it is smaller, with two-row seating instead of three. The exterior is also quite different, being lower with a more angled rear and black pillars between the side windows for a long, unbroken dark appearance leading to a more radically angled d-pillar. Elegant wind tunnel sculpting is evident from front to rear.
The Wagoneer will be powered by a pair of electric motors, one up front and one between the rear wheels, for standard all-wheel drive. The two motors will have a combined horsepower of 600 with 617 lb-ft of torque available when the motor starts turning. 0-60 acceleration is expected in 4.4 seconds, and if you don’t do such acceleration runs all the time, the range is expected to be 300 miles from the 100.5nlithium-ion battery. With a 400-volt electric architecture, direct-DC charging is expected to go from 20 to 80 percent in 23 minutes. With day-to-day recommended Level 2 charging, the battery should charge from 5 to 80% in about seven hours.
Looking inside reveals what will be the most technically advanced Jeep to date. Across the horizontal dash will be a combined 45 inches of usable screen space, customizable LED lighting, and an available 19-speaker McIntosh audio system. This will also be the first Jeep model with electronic door releases. A Jeep Wagoneer S Launch Edition will be the first model available and is expected to be fully loaded. It will have an MSRP of $71,995, including the destination charge. Other Wagoneer S models are expected to follow.
1500 Ramcharger
Building off of what many consider the best pickup truck line in the U.S., the Ram Charger is essentially a battery-electric truck with a range-extending gas-powered generator. You could call it a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), but it doesn’t tell the whole story. While most PHEVs offer an EV-only range of about 30-45 miles, the Ramcharger’s 92 kWh battery will have an expected 145 miles of EV-only power with a total expected range of 690 miles when the gas engine is involved. This means that the Ramcharger will basically be an emission-free EV for essentially all day-to-day driving, while extended trips will be free of recharging worries. If you do want to recharge on the road, the 1500 Ramcharger is unlike most PHEVs in that its 400-volt system will work with DC fast charging stations to add 50 miles of EV range in just 10 minutes.
The electric motors combine to produce 663 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle is expected to have a tow rating of up to 14,000 pounds. The onboard 3.6-liter Pentastar engine will operate as a generator for the electric motors.
The Ramcharger will appear from all angles as a Ram 1500 with different lighting and subtle aerodynamic enhancements.
Both models will be available to consumers in the 2025 calendar year. What’s New For 2025 With The Dodge Durango
There is certainly no shortage of crossovers and SUVs on the market. In fact, the Jeep brand here at Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (CDJR) consists entirely of crossovers and SUVs plus the Gladiator pickup. There are also plenty of 3-row crossovers from which to choose. However, if you are a muscle car fan looking for a powerful SUV, you look to THE muscle car brand, Dodge, and most specifically, the Dodge Durango. Dodge bolsters that reputation with the changes to the 2025 Durango, which is the subject of this Benna CDJR blog.
The Durango enters the 2025 model year with GT, R/T, and SRT Hellcat trim levels, each with its own bespoke engine. Several special edition models will also be available, including the Durango R/T 20th Anniversary and three special-edition versions of the Durango SRT Hellcat.
Two Powertrains and One Monster
The GT is the entry into the model line. It has the award-winning 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine, rated at up to 295 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. In RWD form, the Durango has an EPA estimated city/highway/combined mpg of 18 / 25 / 20. With all-wheel drive, the mpg is estimated at 17 / 24 / 20.
One step up is the Durango R/T, which comes standard with a 5.7-liter HEMI producing a best-in-class 360 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine features cylinder deactivation, which seamlessly alternates between smooth, high fuel economy, four-cylinder mode, and V-8 mode when more power is needed. The 8-speed automatic is also matched to this engine, and both RWD and AWD versions have the same EPA mpg estimates of 14 / 22 / 17.
Finally, there is the SRT Hellcat. Those familiar with Dodge or even just performance car nomenclature know that SRT Hellcat means this trim is powered by a 6.2-liter HEMI Hellcat V-8 engine. In this state of tune, it produces 710 horsepower and 645 lb.-ft. of torque. That is enough to move this 3-row SUV from 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds and go on to reach the quarter mile in an NHRA-certified 11.5 seconds. It also has a top speed of 180 mpg. This is more than just a big V8 with a supercharger. High-performance features of this engine include:
- A dedicated cooling circuit for the charge air coolers integrated into the supercharger housing, including a pump, coolant reservoir, and heat exchanger, designed to keep air flowing into the engine cooler than 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Twin-screw rotors in the supercharger are set close to minimize air leakage and ensure maximum performance.
- An integrated electronic bypass valve regulates boost pressure to a maximum of 11.6 psi (80 kPa). The 2.38-liter supercharger has a drive ratio of 2.36:1 and a maximum speed of 14,600 rpm.
- A cast-iron engine block with water jackets between the cylinders for optimal cooling
- Forged-steel crankshaft with induction-hardened bearing surfaces
- Specially tuned crankshaft damper burst tested to 13,000 pm
- High-strength, forged-alloy pistons
- Powder-forged connecting rods with high-load-capacity bushings and diamond-like, carbon-coated piston pins
- Piston-cooling oil jets
- Heat-treated aluminum-alloy cylinder heads
- Sodium-cooled exhaust valves, hollow-stem intake valves, and steel-alloy heads that stand up to temperatures as high as 1,652 degrees Fahrenheit (900 degrees Celsius)
- Cold-air scoop in the lower front fascia helps feed the supercharger and the Hellcat engine’s 92-mm throttle body.
- Exhaust system tuned to deliver a throaty Dodge DNA sound
- TorqueFlite 8HP95 eight-speed automatic transmission includes steering-wheel-mounted paddles for manual-style shifting and has seven available Drive modes – Auto, Sport, Track, Snow, Tow, Eco, and Valet.
Muscular Styling
Outside, the Durango wears its performance focus with distinctly muscular styling derived partly from the recent Charger model. The forward-leaning profile includes Dodge DNA design cues on the front, including slim LED low/high headlamps, LED daytime running lamp (DRL) signatures, an iconic crosshair, and a grille. Down the side is muscular surfacing, a rear spoiler, and a variety of wheel options.
The dash is clearly driver-centered, with a center stack angled 6 degrees toward the driver. The 10.1-inch touchscreen is powered by the critically acclaimed Stellantis Uconnect 5 operating system with Durango-specific graphics. The SRT Hellcat features exclusive performance-themed graphics.

The Jeep Wagoneer has staked a firm hold in the full-size SUV market as a classy alternative to established competitors like the Ford Expedition, the very established Chevy Tahoe/Suburban, and its twins from GMC. With a starting MSRP of $59,945, the 2025 Jeep Wagoneer is the most affordable full-size SUV in the U.S. It is not just the base model that is less expensive—prices have been reduced across the model line. The Grand Wagoneer model line now sees additions such as standard 22-inch aluminum wheels outside and a standard front passenger interactive display inside. The model line has also added new standard safety features such as Intersection Collision Assist (which helps prevent collisions at intersections by detecting other vehicles and providing audible and visual alerts) and Drowsy Driver Detection (which monitors the vehicle’s movement—including lane deviation and subsequent interaction—to detect possible driver fatigue). For anyone who takes road trips, a special new feature called Hands-Free Driving Assist is now available on the standard wheelbase Grand Wagoneer Series II Obsidian and Series III. This enables true hands-free driving on over 125,000 pre-mapped miles of U.S. highways.
As a further enhancement, the High-Output Hurricane Twin Turbo inline-six engine, which is standard on Grand Wagoneer models, has a power increase and now produces up to 540 hp and 521 lb-ft of torque–even as it lowers emissions and maintains the same fuel economy.
“Built to appeal to the heart of the full-size SUV market, the Jeep Wagoneer and Jeep Grand Wagoneer lineups are now even better equipped and more competitively priced for the 2025 model year,” said Bob Broderdorf, senior vice president of Jeep North America. “By lowering MSRPs as much as $7,000 and enhancing standard equipment, such as adaptive cruise control on the Wagoneer and a front passenger interactive display on the Grand Wagoneer, these vehicles have become even more compelling.”

As it reviewed the pickup truck, MotorTrend pointed out that the 2025 Ram 1500 Tradesman uses coil springs at the rear axle. According to the article, “As a result, it handles impacts just as comfortably with a bed full of air as it does with 1,600 pounds of compost in the back. The smooth and settled ride—along with the tranquil cabin—is one of the key reasons we think this work truck could realistically be used as a personal or family vehicle.”

MotorTrend Names the Ram 3500 Its Best Dually
Big one-ton dual-rear-wheel pickup trucks top the list of things we love in the Twin Ports. These trucks carry the load, tow the big trailers, and take over any roads on which they ride. There is a choice of four such pickup trucks. MotorTrend did a comparison of all four, and only one came out on top: the 2024 Ram 3500.
MotorTrend cites the Ram 3500 Heavy Duty because of its “solid towing manners and dramatically sumptuous interior when properly optioned. It’s a work truck for the boss.” It starts with a “burly design,” sports a “luxurious interior,” and ultimately feels “confident towing a trailer.”
The towing part is important to a Ram 3500 owner. With dual rear wheels, the rear part of the frame is crafted to handle up to 37,090 pounds of trailer from a gooseneck or fifth-wheel connection. Large travel trailers or farm implements carried on a flatbed hauler present no problems for the dually.
Towing is made more confident with the available Cummins High Output 6.7-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder diesel. This engine puts down 1,075 pound-feet of torque and was the first pickup truck in its weight class to offer more than 1,000 pound-feet of torque. It also helps to get the right rear axle ratio to deliver that power to tow its weight, which is why the Ram 3500 dual-rear-wheel pickup truck offers an available 4.10 axle ratio for larger jobs.
Its “burly design” comes from the influence long-haul trucks have on Ram’s overall look. No one can mistake the big grille and lowered front fenders with excellent lighting units when it comes down the highway—or logging road—to accomplish the task at hand. That design continues rearward with the extended fenders to cover the dual rear wheels. Aerodynamics play a huge part to ensure that the Ram 3500 flows through the air without interfering with the job of towing or hauling goods in the box.

The 2025 Ram 1500 Has the Power You Need
How much power do you need when it comes to pickup trucks? It all comes down to how you use your pickup truck. The are two new engines available for the 2025 Ram 1500. Both of them are called Hurricane. They are twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engines with dual overhead camshafts and 24 valves.
Why two of the same engines? The Hurricane comes in two different performance levels. The one you’ve been hearing about is the High Output version with 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque. However, there is a Standard Output version with 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque. Most 2025 Ram 1500s come with the Standard Output version.
The Standard Output engine can carry the weight. Depending on trim level and configuration, the 2025 Ram 1500 with this engine can tow up to 11,600 pounds when equipped with a rear axle ratio of 3.92. Payloads can go up to 1,900 pounds, also depending on trim level and configuration.
In a recent test, MotorTrend took a four-wheel drive, Crew Cab, five-foot seven-inch bed 2025 Ram 1500 Laramie to see how the Standard Output Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six performed. The phrase the editors used to describe this configuration and engine specification was “great power.”
There is more than just “great power” with the Standard Output Hurricane engine. There is improved efficiency. The Environmental Protection Agency has rated it to achieve up to 24 mpg on the highway with four-wheel drive. With a 26-gallon standard fuel tank, that translates to a maximum fuel range of 624 miles. With the available 33-gallon fuel tank, that maximum range extends to 792 miles.
We understand that there is “no replacement for displacement.” However, if you compare the 2025 Ram 1500 with the Standard Output Hurricane engine to the previous Hemi V-8 with the eTorque 48-volt electric hybrid system, you will find that the discontinued engine put down less performance—395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque—and returned lower fuel economy ratings.
You can get the Standard Output Hurricane engine in the 2025 Ram 1500 Tradesman, Warlock, Big Horn, Laramie, and Rebel. The High Output version is available in higher trim levels, such as the RHO, Limited, Tungsten, and Longhorn.
