Benna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram

Just when you thought things could not get any better with the Jeep brand and everything they have released in the past couple of years, it happens, and they just keep improving. This year at the New York International Auto Show, spectators got a view of what is next for the Jeep brand with the unveiling of the new longer base models of the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer.

Establishing a foothold in the market with the release of the, now, highly lauded Jeep Grand Cherokee L, Jeep made the decision to make the offering available to Wagoneer customers as well. Although the Wagoneer has been around for decades, the current incarnation has been redesigned as a high-end option for Jeep loyalists.

The addition of twelve inches to the length of both the Wagoneer and the Grand Wagoneer has bumped them into “best in class” territory in several categories. The Wagoneer L now possesses the best-in-class overall passenger volume and second-row legroom, while the Grand Wagoneer L takes the prize for cargo space behind the third row. They both share the distinction of having best in class towing capacity.

Fans of the brand also got a good look at the new trim level offered by Jeep for Wagoneer, the Carbide model. If you love the Wagoneer but want something a little bit grittier and tougher looking, then this is the model for you. Blacked out windows and wheels, along with updated rugged vehicle accents, make your new Wagoneer and Wagoneer L look like a vehicle not to be messed with.

To keep things moving in the environmentally friendly direction, Jeep used their platform at the New York International Auto Show to announce the release of the family of new Hurricane engines. Designed in six-cylinder and a V8, these engines provide more horsepower, but less emissions than traditional engines. With the plans to be carbon neutral by 2038, Jeep has been hard at work to get there.

At Benna CDJR, we will keep you posted about when these new models and new engines are available to order or in stock. For now, come check out what we have currently available in the Wagoneer line.
