To become a Jeep, there has to be a nod to the past, the present, and the future. The all-new Compass nails this. Its compact size makes it able to maneuver around obstacles off- and on-road, while offering spacious seating and cargo space inside. Plus, it has available four-wheel drive, including Jeep Active Drive with the Select-Terrain Traction Management System and Active Drive Low systems.

Design

There are plenty of cues that make this a true Jeep. Not just in size, but stature. The seven-slot grille is integrated onto a sleek aerodynamic body that is both handsome and functional. Every angle captivates the eye, giving it a presence unlike any in its class. With LED lighting up front, the all-new Compass is also illuminating.

Interior-wise, the same theme continues with a highly functional and modern cabin. The front seats are designed around each occupant with maximum support and comfort. Information is accessible and easily readable, thanks to a new 10.25-inch Driver Information Digital Cluster Display. Cargo space is expandable with a 60/40 split rear seat, plus an adjustable cargo floor for better cargo management.

Also available is the new Uconnect 5 touchscreen systems in two sizes - 8.4 and 10.1 inches. The new system adds further connectivity, including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You can use Uconnect through a Bluetooth connection and Voice Command, as well as Siri Eyes Free. Using a smartphone, the new Uconnect app can unlock the doors for you and send a destination onto the available navigation system. Plus, there is now a wireless charging pad for your device. 

Capability

Only a Jeep can take you anywhere you point it. Four-wheel drive models come with Jeep Active Drive with Select-Terrain Traction Management System. You can choose the terrain you are driving on and the system enables the right amount of traction needed to get through it. Trailhawk models come with Active Drive Low with a lower transfer ration for even tougher terrains and conditions. The Trailhawk also comes with Hill Descent Control, making easy work on the steepest downslopes. The Compass Trailhawk is the only off-road-ready vehicle in its class.

Power

Simply put, the all-new Jeep Compass has more than enough power to get you there. The 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine has 177 horsepower to tackle the tough jobs ahead. This engine is connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission offering Autostick control on selected models. There are also four final drive ratios available, depending on the model.
