EXTERIOR DESIGN

The Ram 1500 is an award-winning design. The Ram 1500 TRX takes a step further with its aggressive look throughout. The signature tall nose now has a specific grille, a flowthrough “RAM” badge, additional LED marker lights, and a two-inch ride height increase over the Ram 1500 Rebel. The more aggressive hood scoop feeds the supercharged V8 underneath it, along with big, meaty 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory off-road tires.

The Ram 1500 TRX comes in a Crew Cab four-door with room for up to six adults inside. It will only come with the 5.7-foot bed.

INTERIOR DESIGN

The Ram 1500 made a name for itself with a high-quality cab made of the best materials and technology around. However, the TRX’s cabin is made to lock you in while you take a wild ride through the Northwoods. The seats are designed for both comfort and support, with TRX’s signature written on them.

The class-leading 12-inch fourth-generation UConnect touchscreen is available to handle infotainment, radio, mobile application support, an optional navigation system, and climate controls. Plus, you can set up your drive through the Off-Road pages on the big screen. The TRX will have a console-mounted shifter with paddles on the back of the flat-bottom steering wheel.

HELLCAT POWER

The TRX is powered by a 702 horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine. It also puts down 650 pound-feet of torque. In all, it can go from 0-60 MPH in just 4.5 seconds.

CHASSIS/CAPABILITY

What makes the TRX rock is more than just the Hellcat engine powering it. Ram strengthened the frame to accommodate the increased power, as well as the suspension system that keeps the TRX rolling. You have an 11.8-inch ground clearance with 13 inches of front suspension travel, 14 inches in the rear. The heart of this suspension system is a set of Bilstein Black Hawk e2 shocks designed for any terrain.

You also get a set of eight specific drive modes for the Ram 1500 TRX. Snow mode is designed to handle deep accumulations, while Rock mode will tackle parts of the Iron Range that is open for vehicles. Mud and Sand mode simply puts traction down when conditions are too loose and unstable – such as muddy trails wide enough for the TRX to drive through.
