Inside is a high-quality three-row interior that spells luxury. High grade materials are nice to the touch, friendly and familiar.  Controls and switches are easily accessible for the driver. The new Grand Cherokee will be a technological feast for the eyes and ears. The new Uconnect 5 infotainment system will be featured in this newest SUV.  This includes a new 10-inch touchscreen, along with available audio systems from audiophile specialist McIntosh. Included in the Uconnect 5 will be wireless smartphone integration for Apple and Android devices. The instrument cluster will be housed in a new 10-inch screen that is customizable to the driver. A new Head-up Display will be added to select models. 

Safety is also highlighted in the new Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L. Among these are Level 2 driver-assisted systems with hands-on automated driving. Other features also include a 360-degree surround view, night vision cameras, ParkView and ParkSense, Forward Collision Warning Plus, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Blind Spot Monitoring.  The Electronic Stability Program adds the assurance of accident avoidance on the road. The Grand Cherokee L is also linked to its Uconnect System and customer service providing 9-1-1 emergency service and roadside assistance right at your fingertips. These are among 110 safety and driver-assistance features on the new Grand Cherokee. 

In terms of power, the Grand Cherokee is offered with the legendary Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 with 293 horsepower on tap. It is as powerful as it is durable and efficient. Not to mention, it is capable of towing up to 6,200 pounds. You can also opt for the available 357-horsepower 5.7-liter HEMI V8, which is also capable of towing up to 7,200 pounds.

The Grand Cherokee is offered with three four-wheel drive (4x4) systems: Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II. These systems are also augmented by the Selec-Terrain traction management system, which can dial up the right traction settings for the conditions the Grand Cherokee L is put through. Each system is lockable for maximum traction, along with a low range for more technical traction situations. There is a choice of the Quadra-Lift air suspension that is automatically adjustable for any driving situation – from riding low on the highway to maximum lift above tougher terrain. Altogether, the Grand Cherokee will be able handle anything from the Upper Peninsula and the Boundary Waters.
 
A wide selection of models is available in the three-row Grand Cherokee L. The Laredo offers plenty of standard equipment at an affordable price. The next step is the Limited with a higher level of content for more active lifestyles. The Overland offers a mix of luxury and heritage – a name synonymous with Jeep’s past. The new Summit Reserve is the most luxurious vehicle in its class with all of the amenities of a more expensive SUV. For those looking to go deeper off-road, the Trailhawk model offers greater capability with Quadra-Drive II four-wheel drive system and an Electronic Limited Slip Differential as critical parts of this package. 
 
The three-row Grand Cherokee L starts at $39,730. Prices will be announced for the new two-row Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee 4xe when they arrive.
